That's the move I taught to Emmitt Smith.

And when was the first, last or ANY time you saw a Seahawk on "Dancing With the Stars"?? Just one more example of the native superiority of being a Cowboys fan...

I do think I saw Jeramy Stevens on "Are you Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?", though...

He wasn't... :D

Hopefully he has a loud voice b/c the only way his "fire" will have any impact is if it is from the bench.

That article makes it sound like the Seahawks were not generating enough pressure last year to help out their safety's. Maybe that is the reason he didn't do as well in coverage last year compared to the previous year.
Gee. Where have we heard that before? Oh yea, our own beloved team suffers the same problem.

Prove he's a true FS? Hamlin played FS his entire collegiate AND NFL career and he has to "prove" he's a true FS? :lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2:

Normally I wouldn't respond to inferior comments but what the heck, like I said he's NOT regarded as a ballhawking FS. Maybe he'll be able provide stability if nothing else...

Hamlin has to prove he can be a true FS in order for me to say he's the guy...

he won the NFC defensive player of the month award in September -- playing FS.

Brian Dawkins
Darren Sharper
Ed Reed
Troy Polamalu

and maybe, just maybe...

Roy Williams

All Safeties of some capacity. But Ed Reed IS a FS. Even listed as such on NFL.com.

But I get your point. I agree, I was just seeing if I could name 5.

Hamlin is a damn good player. I don't see what people are whining about. He's been the starting FS on a very good SEA team for a few years who also has had an excellent defense.

Don't be so testy. What I wrote were facts, were it not?

How much did Hamlin contribute in getting Seattle to the Super Bowl and playoffs? My guess is a great deal. If anything he brings experience to the position and his mere prescence will ignite Watkins to do his thing...:starspin

Troy Polamalu

yeah, 7 INTs in 4 years screams BALLHAWK!

that's only 2 more than Roy Williams had in '06

sorry, any list that ranks Polamalu over Roy is garbage

Roy Wiliams is beast but when you have to essentially play two positions for the last three years you are going to give up some plays.

Get Williams a servicable free safety and he will return to rookie form.

Give him another Darren Woodson and you'll swear Harris and Waters were back there again.

Be careful now. No matter how legit your point is, some people are going to scream and call you a homer for not saying how terrible that Roy is...

I think you're on the money though. Ry has been blamed for a lot of other's shortcomings, and his own shortcomings have been completely overblown. I think he's going to have a nice year with someone back there to help.

I appreciate your concern but I'm a big boy and I can ward off uneducated opinions with some tact and skill should they arise.

I am a "homer" as some might claim, I support one team, but I'm also somewhat reasonable and reality based and I think Dallas is the best team in the NFC right now. I ask who is better on paper?

No one but that is why they play the game, personally I'll have Roy Williams on my team.

Anyway, all the descriptions of Hamlin I heard so far sound exactly like Keith Davis :puke: lol

I am still for Watkins starting come week 1.

May the best man win. Let them compete in training camp and whoever plays the best gets to be the starter. I don't have a preference. There's plenty of time for Watkins to develop into what we need. That's the beauty of the Hamlin signing.

Good statement here.
We really shouldn't concern ourselves with trying to get a top flight FS in the draft anymore, we have 2 guys with all the talent needed to play this position, and we should just understand that we can't have DeMarcus Ware's at every position.

I like the deal myself it is a 1 year deal and Hamlin comes in having to prove himself. He also gives Dallas more security at both safety position.

Damn good signing gang. hamlin is nice. He fills a definite need, and in turn it weakens a division opponent for me. Win/win situation there.
