Yeah! What everyone else said!! :)

Party hardy, be careful...I'm headed over to PT's house for all that food he cooked up! (and to tell him he's still dumb for being an Eagle fan)!! :laugh1:

Happy 4th, everyone!

"To that kind Providence we owe this happy opportunity of consulting in peace on the means of establishing our future national felicity. And have we now forgotten that powerful friend? Or do we imagine we no longer need His assistance? I have lived, sir, a long time, and the longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth -- that God governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid?

"We have been assured, sir, in the Sacred Writings, that 'except the Lord build the House, they labor in vain that build it' [Psalm 127:1a]. I firmly believe this; and I also believe that without His concurring aid we shall succeed in this political building no better than the builders of Babel ..."

speech to the delegates of the Constitutional Convention on Thursday, June 28, 1787.

Started the day off at 6:00 am; the grill was cleaned the night before, just finished barbecuing my ribs, two types of sausages, some chicken and some franks. Made potato salad yesterday, and I have the mixed vegetables cooking as I'm writing this post.

Only one thing left to do ...and that's wish everyone a happy 4th of July and invited you all over (first come first served) for some food and fireworks!

Not Eagles fan, Giants, Commanders, or Cowboys style ...just American style!

Enjoy your independence.:)

correction our independence :p:

Thanks anyway, but you don't have to bring anything, except your appetite
for some barbecue ribs, potato salad, and some good old fashioned Eagles memorabilia.

Thank you vets from the bottom of my heart...

A little 4th of July trivia...

Did y'all know that not a single signature was put to the declaration on July 4, 1776? Most were done days or weeks later. One signature wasn't done until 1781. Thomas McKean was the one that waited 5 yrs before signing

Did y'all also know that two Presidents that signed the Declaration of Independence died on the same day? They died on the 50th anniversary of the Declaration.... July 4, 1826. Both were gravely ill but vowed to hang on until the 50th anniversary. Thomas Jefferson and John Adams
