Happy Independence Day, Greg Hardy?

I suspect the results of the appeal will be announced late tomorrow afternoon(Friday), and I'm guessing Hardy's suspension to be dropped by 2 games to 8...

Another way of looking at his Hardy vs. NFL is they slapped him with a big
10 day suspension as a PR move. Their stance has been made and they
recognize their on shaky grounds and they reduce the sentence.
Are maybe not ,who knows

LOL, now that's funny!

Yeah, there was a story by someone in the media about a week or so ago saying that the NFL could want to come back with a Hardy decision on the Friday before the 4th of July weekend. That it would make big news appear smaller.

That's what we have been expecting now since that story came out.

The Cowboys are going as if it's 10 games. The best you can hope for is 4-6 games but because this was a domestic violence incident the league is going to error on the long side not the short side.

Definitely agree with this!

I'm not pushing all my chips in on this happening tomorrow, but I completely see your point erod. I said a few days ago that they were waiting on a red herring to make this announcement. Tomorrow's as good a day as any other while folks are out and about swinging their sparklers.

If it doesn't happen tomorrow they're not reducing the suspension and it'll have to go to the courts.

Even if it comes out tomorrow I think this thing is gonna have to be settled in the courts. With all the noise Alrred is making over Spillman I just can't see a reduction. They would rather look like fools in court for the sake of the appearance of making a stance against domestic violence. I sure would love to be wrong and see a significant reduction but I just don't see it.

I don't know what this means. Who's eyes?

People have attributed the old White House Friday afternoon bad news drop policy to the NFL.

They say if it is bad news the NFL will wait to announce it on a weekend or holiday.

I personally think people are over thinking things. With Twitter and 24 hour news there is no down time.

Yep, I just saw that. And let's stretch our conspiring minds even further for just a moment.

Hardy reduction to two games, and before the disgusted chatter can get going next week, Jerry signs Dez to a long-term contract.

Works for Jerry, Goodell, Henderson, and everybody.

Very nice.

I'm betting the league would like to render its decision buried under a barrage of other newsworthy happenings, such as the start of training camp. The less their decisions are likely to be overly conspicuous, the less the odds will be for them to be bombarded with negative publicity. The start of TC would surely provide the ideal time for them to avoid being the center of attention.
