Lets face it, he knows how much more he can make in money if we reach the playoffs.
Seeing that kick return answering our touchdown was in his eyes money being flushed down the toilet. No wonder he was angry.

Like I said last night, much ado about nothing.

Even BSPN can't work up any outrage beyond some noise from Herm and Jaws.

As far as viral videos go this one is pretty tame.

It's irrelevant whether we can "afford" to lose him and I'm not interested in what you love. A player attacked a coach. You can not tolerate that. That player should be immediately suspended if not outright released.

Greg Hardy is a major league moron who would be in prison if he didn't play football.

As bad as Jerry wants to win, Hardy will get another chance or two or three. Hardy has played two games, and although good games, he is an out of control idiot. What he did yesterday was out of line no matter how good he is. He wasn't trying to fire the team up, he threw a tantrum because he can't contain his emotions...

It'll be just like Packman. The Cowboys will try to change him but they won't be able to. It doesn't matter because the Cowboys will resign him. And the next time he acts up it will be more excuses.

Jerry sold his soul a long time ago....he has tried over and over again to do it again but the devil isn't buying. Maybe it's time to try another approach......

He shoved Bissacca the "Special teams" coach, good maybe we can get a new one...

Obviously he's a time bomb.

I mean, what's new?

I believe that shoving a coach is a deal breaker. If he can't respect the coaches, then all discipline will break down, just like it did with TO. The guy is a great talent but he is not the RKG. I hope he goes elsewhere next year.

Are you going to ignore the fact that the coach pushed Hardy back from being in his face screaming, after Hardy had already slapped the clipboard out of his hand? Or is it only okay for Hardy to be physical with someone?

People are trying real hard to spin this like the coach just pushed Hardy, unprovoked, and it led to everything else. The video is pretty clear what led to what.

Why would I ignore that? Hardy isn't the first player to get in the face of his coach... Coaches have gotten players in their face and didn't touch them...

The issue is who put their hands on who...

Hardy is a polarizing player, but he is not really much different than Ray Lewis. The only difference really between Hardy and Ray Lewis is that Lewis was viewed as a motivator, in part, because his team won a lot and he played for the Ravens, who seem to embrace fringe players who can play. Make no mistake about it, football is about winning. It is ALMOST the only thing that matters.

Having said the forgoing, it is qualified by two things:

1. Is the player such a bad apple that the team (or the league) will not to fade the p.r. hit for having him on the team; or,
2. Is the player so disruptive to the team that it outweighs the skill, talent and ability that he possesses.

Hardy is not unique in the sense that the NFL is filled with these types of individuals. The real trick to building a team is to find a way to manage these fringe type players and keep them in line enough to stay eligible to play and minimize their disruption to the team.

In a perfect world a team would be built with 53 Jason Witten type players. Unfortunately, that is just not possible. Hardy CAN play. He has talent. He is a one man wrecking crew. If you had a team with 53 Hardy type players it might be the most talented team in the league. But it would probably be difficult, if not impossible, to manage that many players with his personality type.

Winning makes it easier to manage this type of player, but it isn't a cure all. About all that you can do is to manage them as best you can, because they bring a lot of skill to the table and they can help you win. If they don't work out you cut them and move on.

Keeping Hardy on the team is the right move, for now. You try to manage him and see how it goes. You have experts who can advise you about how to best handle him, because you can't immediately replace his talent. But you look for his replacement that is more like Witten and less like Hardy. Signing him long term is problematic because players like Hardy are like a ticking time bomb. They usually eventually go bad. But keep in mind that every other team also knows about Hardy's prior issues. We can probably sign him to a bit of a discount because of his baggage. It is simply a balancing of risk vs reward.

Letting Hardy walk at the end of the season probably nets us an upper tier compensatory pick. I don't know what I would do with Hardy. Signing Hardy to a long term deal is dicey and would probably blow up in your face eventually, but his talent is undeniable. The Cowboys are doing what they should do, which is watching, evaluating, and weighing the risk vs reward. It is that simple.

A possible 3rd comp pick(basically a 4th) in 2017 is not much of consolation for losing a player like Hardy.

When has Dez gone chest to chest with a coach in a huddle that he has nothing to do with and then slapped the clipboard out of the coach's hands.

It's puzzling that people want to compare what hardy did to Dez getting pissed on the sideline or Brady and O'Brien yelling at each other. And LOL comparing this to a bunch of guys in a bar.

Tomatoe tomato
They both have sideline antics. In fact Dez has shown more " antics". I guess going chest to chest with a special teams coach is the no/no for you. I understand. But Hardys behavior isn't berserk lol. I see that all the time not shocking. At pee wee games too w parents and coaches lol. At bars between guys. In college between players and refs, also in college between students and intramural refs lol, at the walmart customer service counter last night when i was returning some shampoo i was double charged for, at the gas station when an older guy stole a parking spot from two teenage kids. During texas ou weekend between fans and cops, fabs and each other, between two nice looking ladies i wanted to throw honey on.

I dont understand what is puzzling to you. Hardy got frustrated and had a little exchange with a special teams coach.

ST lost this game for the Boys. The ST coach has to man up and take responsibility which as far as I know he has not. I do not have a problem with someone getting into his grill at all.

Congrats to the front office for putting out this fire......Really thought this wasn't gonna blow over. But to their credit.....shuting down the internet was a brilliant move...and sticking head in sand actually worked. Next time they might not be so lucky....:(
