Yes. He did.

But Johnson also wouldn't have tolerated a player screaming in his face, and knocking crap out of his hand, especially in front of the team. If you think he would have then you're naïve, at best.
Johnson has said himself that he treated each player differently. He made examples out of expendable players, but if you think he'd get rid of his best defensive player, you're nuts.

Congrats to the front office for putting out this fire......Really thought this wasn't gonna blow over. But to their credit.....shuting down the internet was a brilliant move...and sticking head in sand actually worked. Next time they might not be so lucky....:(

And then you get to end every post with a Happy Emoticon

Hardy better realize what he did on the sidelines putting his hands on a coach if he does the same thing to someone off the field he'll be facing another assault charge.

Let's not kid ourselves - if we hadn't of signed him he would be getting sacks for somebody else right now - maybe in our division.

Michael Irvin replaced Roger as my favorite all time Cowboy and I have a clear conscious about that because as a fan although it's great if players are good people and if they struggle with tough upbringings I root for them to better themselves but it's not a prerequisite to my fandom.

50 years from now if somebody is looking at our Lombardi Trophies they won't have a "Yeah but"... for Hollywood Henderson, Michael Irvin or hopefully Greg Hardy.

Unless you go OJ or Rae Carruth on me I could care less.

Lets face it, he knows how much more he can make in money if we reach the playoffs.
Seeing that kick return answering our touchdown was in his eyes money being flushed down the toilet. No wonder he was angry.

Hardy makes huge money wherever he plays. The playoff monetary delta is not an issue.

He came here to win, it looked like a good bet this winter. A normal, non-epic meltdown team would have won against the Giants on Sunday. Hardy was just learning how to cope with our crazy dysfunctional losses. "It's a process"... as Jason preaches so often.

A possible 3rd comp pick(basically a 4th) in 2017 is not much of consolation for losing a player like Hardy.

I did not suggest what we should do with Hardy one way or the other. I am merely stating that if we choose not to sign him, we should get some sort of compensation for letting him go, which could be as high as a 3rd round pick. That would be based on the contract he signs with his next team. There were not teams lined up to sign him this time, which is one of the reasons he ended up in Dallas on an incentive laden deal.

The Cowboys will have to think long and hard about giving Hardy a huge contract unless there is substantial protection for the Cowboys in that contract. Before we get that far, we should take the opportunity to evaluate Hardy this year. He still has the abilty to play. The question is can the Cowboys adequately manage his personality. That is the $64,000.00 question.

The lip service about wanting to sign him to a long term deal might be part of managing him this year to get the most out of him under this current contract (keep him happy), and they may not have the intention of resigning him at all. Or, maybe they think they can manage him, and they are willing to put up with his baggage because of his talent level.

No matter what anyone SAYS, this is a pretty fluid situation, all the way up to the point that they show him the money and sign him to a longer term deal.
