Yes MULTIPLE incidents are what got Haley run out of San Fran. And getting in Johnsons face is pretty much the same as what Hardy did. Both were acts of challenging a coach. And if this board were around back then. The same people calling for Hardys head on a platter today, would be calling for Haleys. Yet Johnson himself said it was OK. Because it was Haley and they knew how to deal with him. Just like coaches and team mates today are saying the same thing about Hardy. Funny how some in the Media and fans are more incensed then the people that were actually involved.

Edit: If you think Johnson would have canned him for this. You don't know Jimmy very well. He admittedly treated star players differently.

Yes. He did.

But Johnson also wouldn't have tolerated a player screaming in his face, and knocking crap out of his hand, especially in front of the team. If you think he would have then you're naïve, at best.

I guess Parcells should have let Antonio Bryant slide when he threw a towel in his face as well. But, then again, what the hell would Parcells know about being the boss in his locker room, right?

I hope Hardy bites Bisaccia(sp) nose off next time.... :D

LOL have not seen any Billy Jack movies since I was a kid.

That last part when the he kicks the guy but the guy flies through the window like he was shot out of a cannon was hillarious. Reminds me of the very end of the first nightmare on elm street movie when the girl is waving in front of the house and front door and all of a sudden she is grabbed and goes through the small window of the front door and you can tell it is a blow up doll.

Greg was just doing what the majority of us would've done after the defense had gotten another stop and the offense tied it and then special teams gives up that dagger. I know I was yelling and cursing at the TV. If someone would've been standing in my living room holding a clipboard at that moment they would've gotten it slapped to the ground as well.

Actually, naive is thinking that Johnson or any other coach would or should kick their best player on defense off the team for what happened yesterday. Parcells certainly wouldnt have. Antonio Bryant wasn't anywhere close to the talent Hardy is. But Lawrence Taylor certainly was. And Parcells tolerated him.
Again. Things like this are always a much bugger deal to fans and outsiders who are'nt used to seeing the things that go on in testosterone filled locker rooms, practice fields and game days. Because a lot of it was kept out of the public eye until the advent of social media and cameras everywhere. Along with TMZ reporters and others rushing to get out every bit of dirt they can on someone. Because the public eats it up.

Maybe so.

To each their own.

I think it's the way the guys are taught as they go, personally. When I was younger and you played sports you were taught that you didn't do that kind of stuff toward your coaches. You could get into heated exchanged with other players but you didn't do that toward your coaches.

Maybe they don't do it that way anymore, and that's fine. I don't have to agree with it.

You're right. We were all taught that in sports. Hardy may have gotten that lesson too. But then again. Like so many other highly skilled atheletes. He's probably always been allowed to slide on things that others weren't. Not fair, but thats how it is. And now that billions of dollars are introduced to the mix. You can be sure a lot more is allowed to go on,that in a perfect world wouldn't.
Still. I'm not going to get too bent out of shape over one incident. I've said before. If this continues. and becomes a detriment to the success of the team. I'll be all for the getting rid of a headache.

The inmates are running the Asylum. The Video shows Opie doing nothing but "standing back', taking off his headset, and touching is hair. I am surprised he was not clapping. As the HC, it was a great example to the fans, players, and coaches of who is in charge of this team. A real HC like Ditka would have got in Hardy's face and made him back down. I guess the this forum is right, we cannot blame JG for anything that goes bad because he is not in charge. He is just a HC in Training.

Exactly......

and those training wheels are never coming off...they are welded on tight!!!! Ginger will never learn to ride the big bike.

I get being mad at how things went today, but this is horrible behavior that has no place on the field or locker room. Be as fired up as you want (like Dez) but fighting your own coaches and teammates is not acceptable.

Frankly, this guy seems like a ticking timebomb. Awesome talent, but something is just not right.

I totally agree. there is no room for any player to blow up at coaches or each other on the sideline. everyone is frustrated and what they do maybe called passion by some, but its stupid and often back fires. these are the times the team needs to come together not attack each other.

Some of you are insane.

Nothing is wrong with me didn't see Hardy go after an assistant coach.
