I think it is OBVIOUS McLain wasn't in shape in 1st few game back. Now, he looks like he did last year. While Hardy hasn't completely disappeared, he has slowed own considerably. My vote is McLain because a) he's the cheaper of the 2 and b) he and Lee look good together.

I really believe the media pressure has taken its toll on Hardy.
Having said that, I don't know who I'd take, honestly.
Ro is great buy unreliable. You really don't know what you're going to get with him.
I don't think all is right with Hardy, and I don't think he's ever going to live down his past as long as he's with the Cowboys. But I think if he stays, we can get him on the cheap too. And I think with another year of maturing on his part and Gregory's and Tank's part, this defensive front can be pretty good.
So I'm good with either one, but if I had to make a choice, I'd say Ro because he has Ray Lewis-like talent with a TO-like head.

McClain on a 1 year deal. He has way to many off the field issues to be counted on.

Neither, but if forced to keep one, I say McClain. We are thin at the LB position and Lee is too injury prone to be trusted.

I don't want either player. I like McClain but I'd rather have Lee back in the middle with a run-stuffing space-eater NT in front of him.

If Dallas lets him go, I seriously doubt that no other team will take a shot at him. And when they do, they won't get crapped on the way Dallas has been.

I agree. The spotlight is brighter in Dallas. He goes to Jacksonville or Cleveland, we may never hear from him again.

Re-sign McClain to another one year deal.
Think about re-signing Hardy to a reasonable deal, 3-4 year deal.

When Hardy was out last night, it was fun watching everyone on the DL getting blown off the ball, particularly Hayden. Man, how Hayden plays so many snaps should be researched by History Channel...

The only play I remember the DL did anything when Hardy wasn't in was when Crawford got that once in a lifetime rush three sack.

People assume Hardy and McClain want to play in this mess. Hardy will most probably test free agency anyways.

I don't any bloated contracts. Especially if we're going to suffer from the QB desert for a few years.

The media will spin it as "Dallas Paved Way For Hardy To Sign With insert team here".

I'd say McClain......in the range of 1-2 years. He is what your MLB should be. They should pass on hardy and hand the reigns over to Gregory and continue drafting DEs.

Both will be back. Jerry doesn't let guys who can play walk away and this defense desperately needed more, not less playmakers. Neither Hardy nor McClain are guys that you can depend on to start every game but we will have the depth to rest them and fill in when they are injured.
