Here's why there is a zero percent chance the Cowboys draft Harold Landry.

They would have to take him with their 1st round pick and both Jerry and Stephen have stated many times their philosophy with 1st round picks is an immediate starting player. I'm not interested in debating the logic of that. That is their philosophy and they make the picks. They just franchise tagged one DE and used their 1st round pick on another last year. They're also about to 2nd round tender at the minimum another player who gets snaps at DE. Harold Landry isn't happening here.

That and the same issues they had with T.J. Watt last year would come back into play. Not an every down player, better fit for a 3-4, cannot hold the edge, blah blah blah.

It seems that you didn't watch any of these players.

Those are media reports not NFL scouting reports. Go look at draft reports on WR Antonio Brown. He just posted one on social media and it was comical.

If you had watched those players you would know they were soft.

I'm not sure how a draft fan wouldn't have watched those players. Did you just starting watching football?

They all had great production as pass rushers in college and all but Sam had execellent athleticism.

They actually came out and stated their concerns after Watt was on a hot streak and Charlton was doing nothing during the season. The injuries were not mentioned.

Kind of surprised by the lack of talk about him. Some of you might think we are full up on current and future war daddies. (I dont) Taco is iffy at best depending on your point of view, huge year coming up for him. Lawrence is taking up 10% of the cap and has a back made of popsickle sticks. In a perfect world I would prefer a pocket collapsing DT but I think Harold is likely there at 19. If its me depending on the available options, I think he could be the guy. Opinions?

Yep huge Landry fan here. Guy is gifted at passrushing doesn't matter scheme. If Landry isn't getting sacks it's the coachs fault. Love to get Landry, esp if the other top guys are gone

Ahhhh I stand corrected, I just saw Stephens comments.

Difference is, Landry has plenty of tape with him abusing OTs playing with his hand in the dirt.
