Here's what bothered me. These comments came on a day where Romo has a career day, on a day that Ben was struggled virtually eliminating the defending champs from the playoffs and on a day where Brady threw two brutal picks that cost them the game.

And on top of that, Patrick recited Eli's stats for the day and not a word about Romo's day. It was clearly agenda/ratings driven segment aimed at the Cowboys.

But, I agree that winning shuts everybody up, and at the end of the day...

Dungy was gifted with the best QB/Coach to ever play the game with a DUO of HOF recievers and managed to squeak out 1 SB with them. Yeah, Dungy's great.

Harrison was a DB.

Jim Mora couldn't win a SB with a 13-3 Colts team in '99 and last time I checked a team needs good DB's to win a SB much less 2 in a row and Harrison was a dang good one. But hey I guess you've been on a team going on a SB run so you know more than they!

2nd Q, I think, Williams had single coverage in the end zone, Romo threw one high and it looked like Roy mis-timed the jump. Still hit him in the hands though. It was before the FG Folk did hit.

If I am remembering the same play, Roy got a pretty significant shove in the back that I thought should have been called a PI. Then again, Roy might have gotten away with a little bit of a PI on his first touchdown so it kind of evens out. But the point I was trying to make is I don't think he mis-timed the jump so much as his path was "diverted by an outside force".

Both trying to lay loss on Romo and Austin going to Vegas Thanksgiving weekend.

Idiots. He was lights out today.

Romo had a good day but he missed critical throws. Completing a lot and racking up a lot of yards on checkdowns isn't all that grand when you miss a TD to Roy and miss what would have been a big gain to choice.

Who cares though. Talking **** on analysts after Dallas laid down isn't even a moral victory.

I think Choice was supposed to break outside into the flats. That's the point of a RB checkdown, not trying to beat a defender on a fly pattern.

Exactly. That was obviously a miscommunication on some level. I'm not sure who screwed it up, but it was obvious Romo was expecting him to break out into the flat.

Ditto...Choice was trying to make a play and I don't blame him for it, but it was the wrong decision at the time.

Agreed. If he breaks out into the flat he runs away from Osi anyway.

This is the point, there seems to be a lot of miss communications like that.

btw Who really cares who the media is blaming?? We are the ultimate losers in any scenario.

I think Dungy has made it pretty evident that he absolutely hates Tony Romo.

the run play calls were poor, the run blocking was poor and the defense and special teams both had huge lapses

i saw it live when they were saying it and couldnt help but think how stupid they sounded

i have a lot of resepct for dungy but he was off base with this one. as for harrison no suprise there.

Yep. I knew it. I knew the media retards would find someway to try and blame this loss on Romo. Once again I guess I missed the part where Romo plays defense and runs down and covers punts.

I just can't see Dungy hating anybody, maybe alittle disappointed in Romo though.

No, he doesn't. He understands the game and the game surrounding the game.

To the average Cowboys fan, a Romo trip to Vegas is no big deal. But to a coach who wants no team distractions, no distractions from the media and no media people constantly asking you or your teammates questions when they should be focused on a big division rival, the trip was ill-advised.

Dungy, as a coach, understands all those dynamics better than you or I do because we've never coached a NFL play team - and Dungy has coached two.

He expects his quarterback to focus solely on the game. And even if a trip to Vegas is no big deal, because Romo has been criticized before about taking trips before important games (remember he did the same thing right before we played the Giants in 2005) and because the team has been criticized for its late season swoon, Romo should know better.

It's like he's feeding the media with information they need to distract the team.

That's why, IMO, Dungy is critical of Romo.

Granted, I have no problem with Romo taking a trip to Vegas, especially for charity.

But it is what it is. And if you know people are going to make a big deal about it, causing the team distraction, you have to be more circumspect.
