I don’t remember that well (it was one of several drinks that night) but I don’t remember hallucinating. I was very hammered though.

If I were you @Hardline I’d mix it with some cold sugar water to try it. That is how many drink it.

I was at a friends house a few days before a trip. We decided to just relax and smoke things/drink a few days before.

IIRC it was Penrod brand, and I remember that because I knew a girl named Penrod at the time. Penrod Absinthe is 140 proof according to the internet.

That's pretty strong, but were you in the U.S. at the time?

BTW, I don't know if I could drink anything green, without expecting it to taste minty.

Yeah I was in the USA. I don't know whether it was bought in the US or not though. Idk all the laws surrounding it as I primarily get wasted off other drinks.

If it is legal to get in the US I might buy some to try it again.

I will buy it and try it for the first time, i doubt i will be able to slow pour it. I will try it first with nothing, than i will try it with a drop of water, than on the rocks.

It's fine, the stuff here is a lot less potent. Take a shot, it won't impair you like we see in the movies.

Makes sense. According to Wikipedia, it's anise flavored.

It was the "people's drink" in Mexico up until about 50 years ago, but you can still find it there.

I moved to Mexico when I was a child of 23, and basically grew up there. I didn't come back to the States until I was 34 and had a family, but I spent a lot of time in my first years there with pulque.
