Has everyone finally come to terms on Dak?

I love Dak Prescott..Dak has made enough money through endorsements and the $2 million he made this season from his play on the field should be enough to never play for Jerry Jones ever again. He shouldn't play this week so that his shoulder AND broken pinky finger on his THROWING hand(injury the national media has forgotten about all of a sudden) can properly heal. His agent should inform Jerry that if he attempts to put the franchise tag on Dak he is willing to sit out the entire year. The Commanders, Bears, Chargers, and Buckaneers would all park a Brink's truck outside of Dak's house I'm sure.

Look at the coaches that have been around him since he's been here. Linehan, Moore and Garrett. Not very inspiring. I am willing to cut him some slack, tag him this year and see what happens next year with a new coach.
nice reply and you too seem level headed not like some.

Tried my best to see the positives, but the Cowboys will be making a huge mistake signing him to a top tier deal. Let him go somewhere else. With the level of talent the Cowboys have on offense and some competent coaching, there are a number of pedestrian QBs out there who should be considered while the Cowboys look for the next franchise guy. It can't get any worse.

Is everyone finally seeing that he's not the elite QB most of thought he was when he initially took over for Romo?

Do we still have some on here that believe he's top 5 or 10. And that anyone who says otherwise is a troll or eagles fan?

He's not the answer, and I pray we don't waste another season or 2 on him before we get it, like we did/ are doing with Garrett.

Cut losses early.

I'm glad he got greedy and said screw that huge extension.

Spitting in the wind, brother.

Dak will for sure be here next year (via tag or new deal) and most likely longer than that

I never thought people who don’t like Dak are eagles fans.

I never thought Dak was elite.

I do think he has stretches where he plays top 10. But obviously he is showing that he is inconsistent. We can’t have stretches where he plays top 10 and then stretches where he plays bottom 10.

It’s a problem.

I don’t have an issue with the cowboys moving on. I just want a REAL head coach to make the decision and be the one to make that call. And if a new QB is drafted. I don’t want Garrett and his cast of clowns with his awful system anywhere near that QB.

I dont understand how this guys has a cult-like stanbase.

He is not a good NFL quarterback. Anyhow that was Wentz out there missing those open receivers and failing to make them pay for the single high coverage, you all would chuckling it up and saying Wentz is garbage.

17 times in his career now, he has failed to throw a touchdown pass. 17. Good for about 4 a season. Wentz has 4 in his entire career.

Its a damn shame that so many are content with QB play like this.

This is crazy. Dak was thrown in the fire his rookie yr. No nfl experience. I understand this is yr 4. How many yrs was Romo in the nfl before he went under center. 3 yrs of learning from the likes of Bledsoe and testeverty(miss spell) again romo had experienced qb teaching him for 3 yrs before he went under cente . Dak has been learning on the fly. Smh peeps thinking that he should be all century at this stage of his career.

agree. good post.

Dak isn't accurate. With accurate QBs you know when they let it go that it has a chance to be caught, I never get that feeling with Dak. I've seen him over throw too many wide open guys, one hop 10 yard passes, throw behind receivers etc...Maybe a new coaching staff can fix all of that...

Oh come on already.

He isnt the best of the best, but a team can win w him

The problem is that he is going to need a better supporting cast than some elite level guys, and if you pay him that way, that wont be possible.

Try not to forget how next to impossible it is to come by what you think you want at QB.

Given the rest of the roster, you're better off trying to hire a competent staff and trying to make it work w Prsscott before breaking it down completely.

....and btw if you think Jerry doesnt see it exactly this way, you're wasting your time and setting yourself up for frustration.

Really it's a matter of how much Jerry is willing to step away from the spotlight so as to not undermine the new staff.

skins have Haskin who looks very good in his limited time playing.
If Daniel Snyder has the chance to steal Dak from the Cowboys it's a done deal. Haskins would be his backup or they would simply trade him like the Cardinals traded Josh Rosen after one year. Signing Dak and drafting Chase Young will flip that franchise overnight.

don't think so, but that's my opinion.

we will probably tag him and get one of Detroit's backup.

This is actually an interesting point you bring up with Wentz. Wentz looks like hammered dog crap in this game. He's pretty terrible for sure but, because its such a poor performance by our team, nobody is talking about it. Wentz looks really bad in this game IMO. He's missing some easy throws as well and it's not pressure. He's just missing.

I’ve been critical of Dak since day 1; but to be really fair, we all know Garrett is a dang joke. That has to be part of Daks evaluation whether we like it or not.

Tom Brady was a two-time Super Bowl MVP at this point in his career. Dak is just Dak.

I'm not a fan of throwing young QBs out there and letting them sink or swim but so what? Troy was thrown out there as well. He did OK. I mean, I never wanted Dak to be the starter in his Rookie year and there was an opportunity to sit Dak and start Tony but we didn't do that and I didn't hear any of Dak's fanbase call for him to sit and learn either. You can't have it both ways. Besides, Dak's played in enough games and he's been in this offense long enough where that should not be playing a big factor any longer. Dak started a lot of games in HS and in College and now in the Pros. His problem should not be experience but honestly, what I'm seeing right now is not about experience. He's just flat throwing the ball really poorly. This has to be injury.

Name another "not good NFL QB" that has led the league in passing, is top 5 in QBR, and is the ONLY QB in the history of the league as a rookie in his very first playoff game passed for over 300 yards with 3 TD passes?? I'll wait for your answer.
