Has everyone finally come to terms on Dak?

He maybe good for another team but not for us.We have to learn to separate emotion from logic.
the guy won't make it here and we will end up just wasting so many years to come back to squire one again.
It is about the team over all not just one player

I still can’t comprehend how many people don’t realize this. How can you evaluate anybody on this team properly
you and Ron make good points. In these conditions and the culture, its really unfair to make a judgement call.

hes the same QB that won 13 games his rookie year. Whats changed?

Darren Woodson said it was clear the day Tony Romo walked the camp that he was the best QB On the team. Dak didn’t even practice well.

Linehan completely dumbed down the offense for Dak, so this idea that he didn’t have a competent player caller is rewriting history as well.

Tony Romo who was brought in by Sean Payton and Parcells and who learned to play the QB position under Parcells? Well damn, that’s totAlly the same as being drafted and fed to Jason Garrett and that brain trust.

Is everyone finally seeing that he's not the elite QB most of thought he was when he initially took over for Romo?

Do we still have some on here that believe he's top 5 or 10. And that anyone who says otherwise is a troll or eagles fan?

He's not the answer, and I pray we don't waste another season or 2 on him before we get it, like we did/ are doing with Garrett.

Cut losses early.

I'm glad he got greedy and said screw that huge extension.

Dak doesn't have to be elite to win. He's already shown he has a knack for winning. I am hard on Dak but he isn't the problem. He's got a few things to work on but he's better than a good number of QB's out there.

Naw dude, remember Daks throws that were off hurt more than the ones that were dropped because to a hater even admitting something as simple as the whole offense was misfiring is somehow anathema to their ideological programming.

As I watched Minny Green Bay last night....I cannot disagree with you that are offense often looks slow, confused inept even. But a good QB is supposed to help the team get out of that. That's why they get the big money. Especially one that wants the TOP big money? What...you've never seen Brees, Rodgers, or Brady put the team on their shoulders?

Even if the team looks bad....a QB should still be able to throw the ball where it's supposed to be MOST of the time. I think most people don;t seem to understand what it takes to run a pro route efficiently. There's a "timing" factor and TRUST with ball placement. We're not getting it. Yes...it's a fact, only part of the problem...but it's an awful crucial part.

why would you want to stick with a guy who has to have the best players at every position and who can't elevate players around him? Wentz did.
Wentz didn't. Pederson did that with his play calling. Wentz will prove my point again this week.

Agree!
Everyone above your post is a Dak hater. It's time for me to put them all on ignore as well.

Dak is a wonderful young quarterback. He's as tough as Romo was. I wasn't too happy with him playing and taking a pain shot in his shoulder before the game. He could have literally damaged it for good.

Dak will get paid and remain a Cowboy for many years. Picking him in the draft is about the ONLY thing I can thank Garrett for.

It would be an honor to have you put me on IGNORE!!!!!
Seems your Football IQ is also on Ignore as stating Dak is a wonderful young QB pretty much sums it up for you!
Mxmas and you come back now when #4 is gone!

This forum is funny. It wasn't but just a few months ago that this board was trashing Wentz. Now he's the greatest thing ever.

Dak is not healthy. What we need to come to terms with is the coaching doesn't have the good sense to bench him because he is hurting the team and just run the offense through the ground and pound game.

I never have. that's "the forum" he's been injured and playing with hurt or practice squad players all year.

Darren Woodson said it was clear the MOMENT Romo came to Dallas he was the BEST QB on the team. That very moment... Parcells had many QBs in line before Romo. Peyton was basically here one year and he’s the only reason we drafted him, but was gone by the time Romo got any credible practice time.

The Cowboys have spent the last four years tailoring the WHOLE offense around Dak to make it “Dak friendly”.

The resounding cry for Dak has been, that he has “it” factor, not that’s he’s a passing QB that can thread the needle on tight windows and scare defenses.

Romo’s career here has been to SAVE the crap show, including when he saved Parcells, who was looking for every reason to continue to play HIS GUY, Bledsoe.

it’s a myth that Dallas was preparing Romo. He essentially stuck around by his own merit, while Parcells was bringing in vets like usual and Jerry and guys like Father Garrett on his ear had their pet projects like Hutchinson and Drew Henson as the next Aikman.

Its hard to QUANIFY elite these days because its so overused. To me. elite means, does he do his job in key moments and win? The answer is..SOMETIMES. Meaning, when the staff gives him a chance and calls the correct plays..he is pretty darn good.
To me, "elite" means someone who makes the players around him look better than they are. Dak doesn't do that.
