Is that why we signed TY Hilton and have pursued OBJ? Looking at Gallups stats his first couple years, and he was much more of a deep threat then than now. I am just glad we signed TY.
this isnt high?dudes got a 200pound man hanging on him and gets 2 feet down as he HIGH-points the ball.. exaggerate much? this thread didn't age well..

Go back and watch his jump ball against the Saints in 2021, and the jump ball against Washington in 2019. Then tell me he still has the same jumping ability after the ACL tear.

I’m not bashing the guy I still like MG the OP asked a question and I answered with my opinion.
TD doesn't look injured too me..

It often takes guys time to get back to speed, sometimes a full season. So I am not worried at this point.

But this highlights the sheer silliness of some of the fans here back in August that kept saying WR was just fine........... Tolbert would take over the #3 spot, Gallup would be back in record time and playing well, etc. Blah, blah, blah.

Sometimes you gotta use common sense and not have your homer hat on all the time ready to defend/rationalize every move this front office makes. It's not surprising to anyone who was rational that Gallup needed time to find himself or that Tolbert likely wasn't ready. It was a surprise to no rational fan that they were involved with OBJ and eventually added Hilton.

I think he’s lost quickness and speed. Not sure if he will eventually recover, but we’ll just have to see next year. Jerruh picked Gallup coming off a major injury over Cooper in a win now situation. Just stupid….….

I think Gallup has lost his nerve, and that's affecting everything else. He tends to have short arms when he's in traffic or expecting to be hit, and has cost the Cowboys on more than one occasion by not reaching for the ball.
IF he doesn't straighten out, he needs to be gone.

11.5M for a proven WR2 is a good deal. Just gotta hope he gets back to being himself, he’s not far off.

If he doesn’t, the team has an easy out in 2024. The contracts this team does well are the mid-tier ones. Like Anthony Brown 3y/15M.

I don’t get that, guys are paid to produce. Gallup isn’t producing
this injury recovery is not always linear in the return to normalcy, that why sinking $$ into OBJ seemed like such a huge risk.

Would've had 2 TDs on Saturday, if not for you know the sun beaming in his eyes.

Gallup is less than a year away from ACL injury. Despite the fact he is playing, I don't expect him to be 100% healthy. I have no doubt that he will continue to improve and get stronger and quicker moving forward.
