He wasn't bad that last year until the stretch run. It looked like he got old overnight or something. If you really go back and look at that season I think you'd find that to be the case. After that everybody piled on him like he was the worst corner to ever play, but he just had a bad stretch of games rather than a completely horrible season.

He had an injury and played possibly the worst game of his career against the Giants in a season finale elimination game. Victor Cruz ran past him like he was standing still and he got hurdled by a TE.

I wouldn't mind if he stayed with a cap friendly deal for depth. But they shouldn't sign him and rely on him to be a starter. Let him earn it with some competition.
But if they move on from him, or if he leaves as a FA, I wont complain either.

Newman went on to have some productive years in Cincinnati, and Mo may do the same. I wish him luck, as long as he doesn't have it with a rival team.

And if his replacement has a bit of a tough time at first, I won't rue losing him. As his replacement may need some experience. But I may poke fun about it to all the Mo haters that made a career of it...lol...

I think the stat line speaks for itself. Average defender and the Injury bug seems to always find a home with mo.
A sure tackling corner is valued in rods defense also.....something mo is not

Take your emotions out of it people.

If you can get him back for a cheap one to two year deal I absolutely do it. When he healthy he was our best corner and actually played pretty well this year save for the turnovers.

Also, think of this: He's been better this year than Byron, a first round pick, at CB. You'll be lucky to have a first round CB come in and play better than Claiborne did this year.

You can't just throw the baby out with the bathwater all over this team.

He never should have been selected in the 1st round. He runs a sub 4.5 and lacks quickness and tackling abilities. I don't think he will amount to anything and there are other better corners out there that are more talented and not as injury prone as him.

He is a major bust and we should have no problems cutting him.

The market will be very small for him. I just don't see other teams jumping on his services. I wouldn't mind him back at a very reasonable price.

Exactly, honestly I never saw elite anything out of Mo coming out of college. I always thought he lacked speed and quickness to keep up with some of the better receivers in the league, and he never showed elite ball skills during his time here.

Who you going to replace him with?
I am not ready to run him off just yet.

Weve been "replacing" him every year hes on this roster. Hes always hurt. When he does play, hes completely not opportunistic and his "production" is replaced seemingly well when we bring in guys like Sterling Moore. A JAG can take Mo's spot....lets be real

Not sure this is a reason to keep the guy. Hell, given his history this may be a more appropriate question to ask if the Cowboys do in fact keep him.

Has Morris Claiborne already played his last game in Dallas?

Can you guarantee me that the Cowboys will grab Vernon Hargreaves in the draft next April/May?
If the answer is no, then Claiborne needs to stay.

Not unless he wants to work incredibly cheap. Even then I'd think real hard about it.

As I've said before, I think whether or not Dallas wants him back is irrelevant. I think he wants to leave.
