I'll Buy Into that ...only because it makes sense; not Because I'm an Eagles fan. Now everyone has made strides to improve upon areas they felt needed strengthening. This year will definitle show that the NFC-East is the dominant division in our conference ...once again!
I hear what you're saying, but you aren't backing it up with anything ...no offense. I have to respectfully disagree, unless you come up with the evidence to support your claim ...otherwise it's all pontification and opinionated.
Ok...First of all I do not know why you included the year 2000. Your contention is that the NFCE was not weak while you guys were dominating the NFCE, but obviously Philly did not dominate in 2000 because the Giants did. They won the division and went to the Super Bowl.
Now lets start with 2001:
1 team with a winning record - Eagles
1 team with a 500 record - Skins
3 sub 500 teams - Cowboys, Giants, Cardinals
Philly NFC Championship Game
2002:
2 teams with a winning record - Eagles, Giants
2 teams with a sub 500 record - Skins, Cowboys
Philly NFC Championship Game
Giants Wild Card loss
2003:
2 teams with a winning record - Eagles, Cowboys
2 teams with a sub 500 record - Skins, Giants
Philly NFC Championship Game
Dallas Wild Card Loss
You will not convince save maybe one person on this board that the 2003 Cowboys were even remotely good. Dallas beat two teams with a winning record the whole year (Philly and Carolina). Of course Dallas went on to lose to Carolina in the Wild Card round.
2004:
1 team with a winning record - Eagles
3 teams with a 6-10 record - Skins, Cowboys, Giants
Philly Super Bowl appearance
I seriously do not see anywhere that you can gather that the NFCE was not weak. In fact they were downright sorry.
