If I was an owner spending that much money, I would expect at least 1 playoff win. Since so many of you now have lowered your expectations of this team to rationilize your love of romo so you can say "See, I told you he was a good qb" that thinking he is worth his contract is ludicrious.

The notion is to see how good this team would be without him is too 1 sided. Brad Johnson was 40, how many 40 year old qb's play at a high level. Many forget Brad was a really good qb when he was younger. Whose to say if Dallas put a young qb back there that it would be any different then how it is with romo? The answer is there is no way to know, and just because you say it would be different doesnt mean that it would be.

Expect his int total to increase and his td total to decrease without Owens drawing coverage away from everyone else. Its a shame Jerry's previous mistakes at qb blinded him to think he had something with romo so he jumped the gun to give him all the money without proving anything. romo has had his stats with Owens, now that he is gone, romo wont have that to rely on and since his stats will probably suffer, and if there is no playoffs next year then it is time to find a new qb.

And anyone who says "you dont know what your talking about or thats so stupid" because you dont want to open your mind up to realize that just because you think he is good, that doesnt mean that he is. When this team finds a qb who wont choke when the pressure is on, I hope you all who claim to say romo is so good dont hurt yourselves jumping off his bandwagon, or continue to ride on his bandwagon while it jumps a cliff going down in flames.

but just because you think he isnt good should mean that he isnt...even if he does more good than bad?.....

Comments like that show how sad it is for people to go as far as they do to defend their little womo. Thats all it is, excuses. Do you want to wipe his nose for him to when he has the sniffles. The talented team he is surrounded by carries him, and when they struggle its pretty obvious he cant carry the load on his little shoulders. And yes, he does things no other qb can like fumble as much as he does and someone on his team recover almost all the time, or has the luxury of hitting receivers that are so wide open a blind man could see them open.

Dumb people go on 'ignore.'

So your theory is that "Womo" is crap and the surrounding talent is what wins the games.

Well if this was true, then shouldnt the team have actually performed better with Bollinger and Johnson at QB instead of the piece of crap "Womo"???

But wait, that isnt what happened. The team actually looked and played way, way, way, worse with the other 2 QBs. The team could barely muster a first down without Romo in the lineup.

But how can this be.....you theory is so sound that if Romo is actually being carried by the surrounding talent, then shouldnt the other QBs have benefited from the surrounding talent also????

BEAST JUST NUKED YOUR THEORY (AND AGENDA)!!!

yes and he could be even better if he is used right (too many long throws which were not going to end well)and if he is protected better.we need to to find better backups for our starters on the OL.

Romo has been worth the money, pre December and after that no.

Maybe with maturity, experience and better protection of the ball, he will be worth every penny.

If he doesn't clean up his flaws,, no, not worth the money spent.

huh?

He broke basically every single season Cowboys passing record, and almost assuredly would have approached 30+ tds again last yr had he not got hurt.

There were all kinds of idiots who wrote off Peyton Manning as unable to win the big one. Same brand of idiots wrote off Eli Manning as unable to not have turnovers at critical times. Same genre of idiots claim Ben Roethlesberger was a one hit wonder.

Writing off a talented QB this early in his career is beyond stupid.

I am not pointing fingers at any person. If this offends you it is only because you feel guilty, not because I have picked on you for your opinion.

Im guilty of saying P. Manning would never win the big one.

Even though he did everything possible for them not to win it in the playoffs that year his defense stepped up and he got one.

I was never down on Eli and I always thought he would be good. I am shocked though how quick he got his ring.

Our passing schemes do have some flaws.

A lot of times Tony just makes a great play but we don't do a very good job of getting our receivers the ball.

We also used TO poorly and im not even going to get into Roy Williams mis use.

Romo is the Cowboys offense though and I hope Garrett can be more complex this year.

Well he does have one thing in common...no playoff wins....so no he is not worth it until he wins a playoff game.

Revisionist history, to a degree. Manning didn't play well in their 1st 2 playoff games that year, but he played one of the best halves of football you'll ever see in their comeback against NE in the AFC Championship.

:laugh2: The TO fan club is cranking the venom up a notch.

He's gone, and he isn't coming back. On the other hand, Romo's here for the next several years.

Yes he has been. Far and away has been. Quality starting QBs are nearly impossible to find in this league. It's not like they fall of trees or something.

Absolutely has been worth it.

Simple question.. What do you think? I'm not asking if he's going to be worth his salary, I'm asking if he's been worth his salary so far?

Ryan
Yes, if Brad Johnson had been the starting QB last season, the Cowboys would have missed out on the playoffs and...oh wait.

You should hear the local radio here.

Romo is the devil and it is a barrage of phone calls that go something like this all day...KIll whitey...

Its pretty comical. The guy not only poisoned our franchise he poisoned the minds of many fans.

Its sad. I enjoy listening to sports radio here, but lately all I have been able to stomach has been Bad radio because they talk about hockey and baseball and dont get into the ******** racial issues.

I guess people could paint Jesus Christ as a rebellious upstart...it is all a matter of perspective... I tried for you to see Romo through a different perspective... for whatever reason it didn't work...but that is okay... I am glad he is on the team even if you aren't.
