That was extremely traumatic. The third of three consecutive NFC Championship losses.:(

The Catch. :(

I was 11 and my heart was broke into a million pieces.
Thanks. In retaliation, I'm using the powers of my mind to inflict you with unimaginable psychic pain. Take that! And that! You deserved it.

Man I'm tired. :)

Honestly though, the fingertip tackle that prevented Drew Pearson from scoring after The Catch is more painful for me. The guy literally tackled him with his finger in the neck of Pearson's jersey. Joy. :(

Two things about that game for me:

1 - it should be called the "horse collar" (although it wasn't a penalty at the time)...if Drew breaks that tackle at around midfield we are at least in FG range to win it at the end.

2 - I still to this day don't know how we lost a game with SIX turnovers from our defense!?! Frankly our offense lost us that game as we had the six point lead with the ball and driving and in the throws of running down/out the clock. Offense needed to seal the deal and didn't on a relatively routine 3rd down conversion.

SMH.

You should be ashamed of yourself for posting that.... :)

I managed to NOT post that it was the 50th anniversary of the Ice Bowl a week or so ago because I thought it would be viewed as a big downer...

I was 11 too, I remember going out on the back porch and crying so no one would see me

The catch was what it was......we had a chance on the ensuing drive-that's my pissed moment from that game. Series of players not doing their job, we could've scored
