history. gotta love it, the good and the bad. :)

We lose on Sunday, and you'll have plenty of time to relieve bad Cowboy's history. Don't know why we can't be positive up until that point, at least.

I'm plenty positive on this site. Just saw this on ESPN and it's a huge part of Cowboys history.

What is wrong with you people? What could the possible benefit be of bringing this up right now?

I swear, some of y'all just love wallowing in misery.
Seriously. Bunch of masochists around here.

oh yes...I recall the sequence well...was going off that Donley was even in the line up there as Hill and Butch were going off along with Cosbie...was incredulous it was "White Lightning" who got the call to clinch it there...for me the most painful part was the sack fumble at the end. Not only did it highlight White's propensity to hold the ball low (with one hand) and for too long, but the guard (#65, Kurt Pederson???), who was supposed to be the strongest dude on our team (even more so than Randy) just got bum rushed by the Niners D lineman right into White's face...smh. I thought FOR SURE we were coming back to win it once Drew's catch got us to mid field with plenty of time left and timeouts in hand...that was WAY worse than the Clark catch for me. lol...fun discussion even though I have no idea why we're doing this to ourselves ;)

Yeah, the White fumble was a killer for me too because after the great throw he made to Drew, We really only needed one more completion to be in Septian's range. Kurt Petersen got destroyed on that play but White took all of the criticism for it. Back then the broadcast coverage wasn't what it is today, so I never knew who Danny was throwing the ball to on that play. Years later I asked him who he was going to and he said Tony Dorsett was open over the middle. I guess we will never know what would have happened to White's legacy had Petersen held his block. This is what makes playoff football so compelling and painful.
