I may have to start bringing out the ignore button again for my own personal sanity. Sucks that I can't go back and re-read the Game-day thread because of all the revulsion and detestation from QB1 on the team. We get it, you hate the guy, but don't constantly repeat the same thing over and over and over like a petulant child, it's completely annoying. We get it, you don't like him. Now shut up and go away or post something new, otherwise, you're trolling.

Just because posters have concerns doesn't mean they've lost it.

I understood Dak being rusty for a quarter. The fact we looked like hot Florida garbage on O the entire first half was alarming. If Detroit doesn't fumble going in for the TD we probably lose that game. Dak needs to be ready from the opening kick and he wasn't.

Tyler Smith is just like Zack Martin and La'el Collins (when he was with us). Yeah, they can play OT but that's not where you want them ultimately. They're ALL OG's. For a kid who played OT for 3 years in college his feet just aren't very good. He's a mauling G being forced to play T because we have no other options.
Not sure this is a done deal concerning Tyler's position, but it's what I've thought from the start.

You're reading it wrong.
Notice no rankings beyond the top 3?
Click on Tyler, see the grade of 62.9?
Underneath it says 52nd /76 T?
That means he currently ranks 52nd out of 76 Tackels.
See Neal? He's not the #4 T, his 49.8 score is ranked 72nd of 76.
That means he's currently one of the lowest rated Ts in the league, he's not ahead of Tyler, his score is much lower.
Lael is not #8, he is #68 of 76.
And Tyler's 62.9 is not ahead of Sewell's 77.7 (currently #11,) or Lane Johnsons 78.2 (currently #10), even though his name is listed before theirs.
You gotta look at each player's score.
Tyler is having a solid season for a Rook, espexially at LT, but he's not the #6 rated T in the league right now.

I really have to ask. Have fans completely lost it or is this board being taken over by trolls?

Dak broke his thumb. Couldn't throw a football for many weeks. Missed 5 weeks of the season. Was still wearing a brace on his thumb. Comes back and, while rusty, plays a very " Cooper Rush" esque game and gets a win against a team coming off a bye.
Most people on this forum and in the media said... learn from Cooper. Keep this game plan when Dak comes back. Etc. Etc.
They do and all the haters come out.

Tyler Smith is balling out. He is a rookie starting at LT in the NFL. NOT AN EASY TASK. PFF (for what they're worth) has him ranked as the 6th best tackle in the league. IN THE LEAGUE!! I saw a post debating if he could play the position!!!!!!

These are just two examples. But, have "fans" lost it?
Yes to both questions … any other questions?

Fans never had it.
But we have so many trolls with bad takes that our less aware fans then buy into as if true.

Football IQ is significantly down from when sports radio guys talked actual football and experts on to discuss versus the shannon and skip nonsense.
Support anyone in media taking this job seriously versus just being sensational.
I'm old enough to remember when you could turn on SportsCenter and see highlights of the actual game—not talking heads sitting around talking about their opinions on the game.

Interesting. I don't pay for the site so I can't see the "locked" info but I see what you mean. I wonder why when you sort them it goes to that order then?

Yeah I'm not sure why they order them like that.
Still, I agree with you that Tyler is a solid NFL LT, and he's only going to get better.
For a rookie to come in and play that solid is an achievement.
If you look at the top guys in his draft class, like Neal, Cross and Ekwonu, Tyler is grading higher than them, and was of course drafted lower.

It appears I was misinformed in my original post. I was hesitant to include the PFF ranking as I'm not a big believer in the site or the way they grade. Case in point. They graded our Oline as the best in the league last year. Anyone that watched the group last year could see that's not the case.

I have done some reading on how they come up with their scores and consistency is part of their grade. I wonder if him being a rookie and new isn't affecting his grade.

Regardless, we both agree in the macro that Tyler Smith is a good, young player at the position.

Are you surprised? The Cowboys fandom is one of the dumbest around. This fanbase really thought Cooper Rush was some savior who was going to lead us places and we were winning because of him. Should tell you all you need to right there.

So many hate Dak with a passion so they will demean any little thing he does.
Dak sux!

Lets roll with it. The Cowboys have the best defense we have seen in decades.

I've said it for years. The Dallas Cowboys could win the Super Bowl and the same day there would be threads being critical of them because they didn't win by enough.

This is a true story: Back in "the day", crowds at Texas Stadium used to complain if the Cowboys didn't score on their side of the field / end zone.

I have noticed an influx of new members who sound exactly like current members who are well known Dak haters and have only 1 agenda here. Makes you wonder if these are the same people with burner accounts. Either way they are having a negative affect on this board.

wow you gave yourself 16 likes ;)

Calm down muchacho......just because someone doesn't agree with your "opinion"...doesn't make them a troll.. They have their own opinion. If that was so, then you are also a troll to someone else. Cover your virgin ears if it upsets you so much, or go to your safe place.

You are correct and unfortunately the administrator and the moderators are letting it happen. Most of the threads on the front page are hate threads, mostly about Dak. They could easily consolidate them into one hate thread and keep posters from starting more threads with the same hate. We can no longer enjoy a Cowboy win; we must be miserable about it!

I've been here since this board started and as it stands now, it is hard to come in for a visit.

I remember the chat board that used to be on dallascowboys.com. They made a speacial thread for all Tony Romo stuff... People weren't allowed to post anything about Romo outside of that thread...

Maybe fans have "lost it".

The people on perpetual incessant crusade to "really set them straight it's my job it;s what I do" ....are just as bad and have lost their minds too.

They are infinitely exacerbating the situation...thinking they are oh so very smart. Just as dumb as the people they fight with.

Don't forget Diggs can't cover and the rbs are meh. I'm sure I'm missing a couple more classic examples.

There has been an influx of new posters who only post trash, plenty of trolls on here.
