No, Suh is not what he once was. I don’t think anyone would say he is going to be a dominant player for 4 quarters. But, what Suh provides that none of our DTs seem to is the ability to both clog the middle against the run and also get a little push up the middle in the passing game. He likely is better in a rotation or reduced snaps, but that is what we do any way so he would have been a good fit here. If the choice is Suh or Carlos Watkins, sign me up for Suh all game long. Then we still have two big bodies in Bohanna and Hankins as well as OSA and Gallimore. IMO that would give us a much better chance to stop the Eagles.

It seems more you making up your mind and refusing to re-evaluate based on watching the games. I’m no big PFF fan at all, but with no other measure to point to, Suh’s rating is way, way higher than our DTs. The point is that in a rotation role he could have helped the team with our inability to stop the run, not that he would be an All Pro. If you don’t see that you are refusing to look at it objectively.

Sub and Joseph were picked up because Davis and another DT went down but in reality they needed another DT even with those guys healthy. Philly wants to keep the vet DTs to under 30% of snaps to keep them fresh.

X-mas eve is gonna be bully ball, who can exert their will on the other team in the run game. Should be a great old-school NFC East game.

I'm not worried about Philadelphia right now. Dallas still has two nfl teams to play before we get to the eagles. We saw what happened when we played Green Bay a few weeks back so how about one game at a time.

This is just my opinion, I haven't heard any rumors about this, but I thought it was odd that the eagles signed both joseph and suh. The reason I suspect they did this was to stop another playoff team from signing them.

I would think it was due, in part, to how the Cowboys were able to run the ball and that if they had a weakness it was at DT vrs run. Vets on part-time watch always look to the best bet for success....eg OBJ, Von Miller, Wagner.

Dallas needs a complete team effort to beat the Eagles. My fear is Dak. If the Eagles pass rush harasses him enough he will be ineffective and we've seen him panic. This a good measuring stick for the playoffs for Dak. But every time I say that Dak stinks it up.

I dont see how Suh moves the needle. Its nit picking. Better to give these young kinds playtime than benching them for some over the hill guy that isnt even good.

Suh was terrific last year, 6 sacks in limited snaps.

talent wise we're about even, the difference is they're consistent while you never know what you get from us.
I bet on the Texans today for this very reason I didn't think they would have much of a shot at winning but but there's no way we look sharp against a 1 win team and cover that huge spread, because we're the Cowboys and some things never change
