Have the Cowboys given up on Henson?

How can any of us truly have a worthwhile opinion on Henson until the damn guy actually PLAYS.....seriously.

I have no idea if Henson is any good or not. I am just curious as to how so many draw adamant conclusions about the guy without actually seeing him play hardly at all in REAL games.

I dunno, maybe it's just me but I'd like to actually see the guy play before I can get a handle on it one way or the other.

The fact that he isn't playing yet? Does that mean anything? Perhaps. Perhaps not, but either way, it's conjecture IMO/FWIW.

OK- carry on..........shooo.

I think my only problem with Parcells is that Henson never will get that REAL chance in REAL games as long as he is coach. I would like to see Henson actually play to Sarge but it aint gonna happen with Parcells here.

Just look back to last year. We were outta the playoffs and Parcells cared more about letting one of HIS guys Vinny getting to pad his stats instead of getting Henson some much needed game time to see where he REALLY is.

You assume too much.

I have been right so far. Romo is Parcells boy and nothing Henson can do will change that.
Oh brother.

Thump, thump, thump.

Reading that is 2 seconds of my life I'll never get back.

Henson didn't do anything in pre-season this year that indicated not playing him last year was a mistake.

I agree. Parcells probably won't play Henson. Therein lies my point. How can anyone tell at this point, whether Henson is any good or not, having hardly played at all in a REAL game?

People are so adamant one way or the other. I don't understand how they can be. I don't agree or disagree with EITHER side. My point is........how does either side come to his or her conclusion(s) given the amount of playing time Henson has had thus far.

I happen to think that some Henson supporters are "willing" him to be the next 10 year starter for the Cowboys while others claim he isn't going to amount to anything because if he was any good at all, he'd be in there playing.

Most likely, the truth lies somewhere in between.

oh you didn't hear.......... Parcell's and his cronies purposely sabotaged Henson by changing his throwing motion so he couldn't compete with Drew or Romo.

Its a shocking turn-around.......... after Parcells did an in-depth recruiting plan in acquiring Henson that culiminated in a secret diner in a secret location with Jerry, Henson. The steaks served were cut from a sacred bull that had been reared for this special ocassion "the next great DallasCowboys QB".

That was funny. Silly, but dang funny.

I am happy to see a current DallasCowboys QB get this much attention.

It's usually only Q that could generate this much QB discussion in a thread.

Its progress I tell you

Not true. It is the QB position. There have been several huge Bledsoe threads this year as well. Some big Vinny ones last year too.

Contrary to your belief it isn't just about "him." It's about the position. Even the backups draw passionate responses.

Ah yes my beliefs.............. :lmao2:

I hope you also remember this one.........it takes 2-3 years

Yeah, the one that became 4 years until Parcells made you change your username.

:wink2:

Became 4.............last time I checked Quincy Carter started each and every single game on a play-off team at the QB position in his 3rd year in the NFL........oops I forgot our dominant defense that year also led the offense.

Anyway lets not steer away from your boy whose judgement off-season (3rd year) is coming up. Can you see the mountain that your pedigreed one has to climb....he might be going up against a veteran in Bledsoe whom might be on the verge of leading our team to the play-offs coming off atleast a Pro Bowl alternate year. He'll once again have to battle Romo, whom Parcells has stated is ahead of Henson.

He'll have to battle maybe a late draft pick or unrestricted free agent QB whom will have played more or atleast the same amount of competitive football Henson has played in the past 5 years.

Plus I also have my little birdies.........they tell me Henson's agent is getting antsy with every solid to great perfomance Bledsoe puts up.........

Anyway have a great game gotta go.......

There are extremes everywhere. Some have some odd desire to see him fail. Some desperately want him to be the next great QB. Some just don't think he is good enough. And some hope he develops into something great.

Its always the extremes that ruin any discussion.

The answerwill likely be formally announced in the offseason
