Have the Dallas Cowboys cracked the Super Bowl code?
http://thelandryhat.com/2017/06/10/dallas-cowboys-cracked-super-bowl-code/

The Dallas Cowboys are hungry for another Lombardi Trophy, with the last appearance in 1996, fans are ready for another one as well. Quarterback Dak Prescott is entering his sophomore season and some are predicting a sophomore slump. Although history might tell the opposite and surprise many NFL experts.

Former NFL quarterback Kurt Warner won his first Super Bowl in 1999. Before the Super Bowl season, Warner went undrafted in 1994 and did not see an NFL snap until 1998 with the then “St. Louis” Rams

The following year, which technically would be his sophomore season, Warner led the Rams to a Super Bowl victory. His 41 touchdowns were a career high for a season while throwing only 13 interceptions was a career low in a season when playing 11 or more games...

The article went on to include second year successes for Tom Brady, Ben Roethlisberger, and Russell Wilson.

Interesting article but it completely misses the point. The success or failure of the 2017 Dallas Cowboys will depend on their defense not their offense and any possible sophomore slump by Dak.

No, the question is whether a developed defensive line akin to the '92, with same pedigree but without the degree of veteran experiences, match up to the path taken then. But given, that the '92 sack leaders were very similar to the current and younger players today. That team grew from there, so this is still a valid view.

I think the super, secret decoder code is the following, but SHHHHH, don't tell anyone, it is the secret of the Dallas Cowboys and their fans

it is the letter "L", and then two, consecutive letter "I"....put them in THAT order making sure the "L" is first - all of them are capitalized

SHHHHH...see you next Feb 4th for the unveiling of the code to the public

We have a lot of good pieces to this puzzle. I think the front 7 on defense will be fine. They may not be strong individually, but as a unit, i think we can excel. The final piece that need to step up is the secondary. Too many questions right now. If they deliver, we are in for a treat.

I thought you were going to start the code with SHHHHH and then add two more letters. LOL

Just for the record, for the poop on all parades people, why don't you instead comment on the added element being presented, and a regurgitation from the past twenty years.

There has been a hell of a lot of good football, also, in that time.

Go figure drive by crap drop offs being submitted for current perspective...at least don't insult every one elses ability to call a spade ... a spade, but retain some current objectivity as well. Either add some valid discussion, beyond a poop disposal throw in...or just stay out of a potential discussion, dude.

The Cowboys end up with a pair of ten sack players, and they are off to the races.

IMHO, the biggest needed change to the SB code for Dallas is producing a solid pass rush and secondary. Our new and hopefully improved pass rush with Damontre Moore being a hopeful, along with Taco, Maliek Collins and Tapper should make some semblance of an impact.

The offense could also stand becoming a tad more dynamic and might end up doing just that with a few new tweaks like Gathers, Switzer and the Dak/Zeke duo being one year further along in their development.

Anything can happen, despite the C'boys' Super Bowl qualifying process still being in a developmental stage. I think it's more likely to occur in 2018 to be totally candid, although a surprise SB visitation this year would undoubtedly be welcome.

This has been the same problem for the past 10 years. It has always been this defense. The offense has been good enough to win a SB for many years. Hope this is the year the defense makes strides.

A sophomore season isn't your 2nd year starting. It's your 2nd year in the league. That's homer fan spin to suggest otherwise.

I don't expect Rayne to slump. I expect him to play to his talent level and the Cowboys to draft a QB in the 1st round next year.
