Is Garrett still the coach? I don't think he's even cracked the code for his bike lock.
I do not think Carroll is a good coach. He may be good at assembling a staff and get out of its way but as a "coach" I would put him on par with Garrett. Please do not trot out what he did with NE, his stint there was more luck than anything, if the NE FO thought he was so good they would not have got rid of him. He took over a Parcells built team.

Lets get to the NFC Championship, before talking about Super Bowls.

We all know that shorts displays, mean nothing...until pads come on and directions established. Some of us have played and know about playoffs...but it's wise to know your enemy, and comparisons are developed by direct comparisons.

No, those efforts aren't futile in concept.

A sophomore season isn't your 2nd year starting. It's your 2nd year in the league. That's homer fan spin to suggest otherwise.

I don't expect Rayne to slump. I expect him to play to his talent level and the Cowboys to draft a QB in the 1st round next year.
A joke is funny the first time if it's funny at all. But after that...

Personally, I'm more optimistic this season than any season in the past 20 years but I HATE when the media and fans start talking SB. One, I'm superstitious so the less we talk about it this early the better. Secondly, this is part of the reason others despise and mock us, which I don't blame them. There is no other team that gets as much SB talk almost every season (other than the Patriots which is legit) as this one and they haven't done squat in 2 decades. It's embarrassing. Stay humble but confident.

PS I truly think we'll get to the SB this year ;)

Not even close. We have a bunch of rookies in the secondary, & a MASH until at pass rusher. Without greatness at one or both of those groups, you're toast. We won't win more than 10 games this season, unless we score 35 a game.

team won more than 10 with less talent in those areas last year. We had T crawford as the starting LDE and he cannot rush the passer as a DE

Maybe I missing something, but don't you need to get to the Super Bowl to crack the Super Bowl code?

Pretty sure you have to get to the conference championship game first, which the Cowboys have not done in the 21st century, then you have to win it.

I love "Super Bowl" talk in June. You can find it on almost every NFL fan forum this time each year.

Yea, that is as stupid as talking up Prescott and Elliott before even starting last season...;)

We traded Church, Carr, & Claiborne for Brown, Awuzie, & whoever starts at SS. Brown got burned deep way too often last year. We have Irving at least 4 games fewer than we had last year, & we lost McClain. So, who IS the LDE for those first four games? Who are your pass rushers? Then you have the turnover at O-line, where you're replacing Ron Leary, who played at a Pro-Bowl level last year, with Chaz Green, probably. We don't know how well Collins can play at RT. So, we don't really know if the offense will be as good. The D played way over their heads last season. The most important factor, anyway, is that every team in the East improved greatly this offseason, & we basically had a draw. That doesn't bode well. Only time will tell.
