wow thanks for letting me know nyc, i didnt know that about alvin harper

like i understand some players dont want to give autographs to older fans, but geez, at least james marten and doug free could have done was sign some autographs for the little kids

however, they just ran out onto the field, and coming back, same thing with their noses up in the air.

When it was over, (the day Alvin was there) we were in the car and my friends mom was driving through the parking lot on the way out. We saw Alvin walking to his car and his mom blew the horn (so she could wave at him) and scared the crap out of him. He about jumped out of his skin and he turned and nothing but the deepest foul came out of him mouth at my friends mother.

I knew right then that not only was the guy over-rated (his only skill was his ability to out jump DBs) , but he was a classless jerk. Not that his attitude inside Fatso's suggested anything different.

charles haley is a character now, you dont want to get on his bad side

i remember ken norton jr said one time, haley would grab you you know where, and try to lead you around,

one time haley was picking at emmitt smith in the locker room and smith gave him this look

another time he was calling aikman every name under the sun, and aikman just let it roll off of his back

the players said main thing you didnt want haley to do was show you were afrraid of him etc, but stand up to him

ken norton jr said haley was just plain crazy, but haley was one of the cowboys best defensive ends to play the game too, thats for sure

I 'met' Charles Haley...once.

I don't talk about it.

*SOB*

I had a chance to meet Haley. Needless to say, I choose not too. The guy is 110% **** and extremely racist.

I met Marion Barber a couple of years ago in Vegas. It was NBA ALL-STAR

weekend. I was staying at the Bellagio. Me and some friends were at this cafe

in the hotel having lunch. One of my friends pointed him out to me, at first I

did not believe it was him but after looking again it surely was Him. He was

with a couple of his friends sitting at a table. now I normally don't aproach

celebrities but I couldn't resist. I went over introduced myself, told him

I was a lifelong Cowboy fan and gave him his props on the season. Told him

I thought he should be the starter. He KEPT THE CONVERSATION GOING and

invited my 2 friends over. We kicked it with them for about 15 min. Talking

about the women and the clubs and the women!!! He was very down to

earth and a very cool guy. will never forget that. Hopefully his new contract

doesn't change that!

Everyone share the experiences you've had meeting cowboys, current or retired!

I've met Emmitt Smith in the airport late one night at baggage claim, sold a home theater system to Terry Glenn, met Terence Newman (guy drives a nice SUV :p), and I've also met Jason Garrett.

What about you?

I once met Julius Jones and shook his hand, at which time he promptly fell down.

But sinuously, folks, I did meet Bullet Bob Hayes about 5 years after he rerited. At the Alley Oop Festival in Iraan of all things. No, I didn't think you'd know where Iraan is. It's in far, far West Texas, like 2 hours from Pecos.

I had missed seeing his obligatory "ride" on the dinosaur statute when he arrived and then, about an hour later, axed him if he could pose on the dinosaur statue. He looked at me and good-naturedly asked "Man, where were you? I already "rode" the dinosaur."

True story. And, let me say, I met Queen Oola later that day and she impressed me a lot, if you know what I mean.
