There are only 11 teams in the NFL with a winning record right now, including the Cowboys.
All true.......
But I think yesterday was a big step. This game had trap written all over it....and this team found a way to rise to the occassion. Even though they didn't play that great....in the past this would have been a game we would have found a way to lose. I'm slowly starting to believe. Everything is falling in our favor this year. Let's just hope the good fortune continues.![]()
i've said it before.. no such thing as a trap game when you haven't won anything serious in 19 years..All true.......

What happens a lot of the time with this that gets overlooked is the teams don't have a winning record because your team defeated them, like you mentioned with SF.
For instance, the Texans would be 4-2 if they had not lost to Dallas, the Giants would be 4-3 and the Seahawks 4-2. So let's celebrate for now the fact that we kept those teams from having winning records.
Obviously we are playing fantastic, but 7 games into the season none of the teams we have beaten have a winning record.
SF is the only team we have played with a winning record. A lot of reasons we lost that game and perhaps we should have beaten them. But let's say we do win that game then SF doesn't have a winning record either.
We have Arizona, Indy, and the Eagles twice left on our schedule. The season is in front of us. We haven't done anything yet.
Our win margins are telling:
TN - 16 points
STL - 3 points
NO - 21 points
HOU - 3 points
SEA - 7 points
NYG - 10 points
We're averaging winning by 10 points, or better put two scores. That's solid.
We've won in every fashion - blowout, comeback, overtime, methodical, etc.
Agreed. We also won some games making mistakes that normally results in a loss. Another big positive.
Funny thing about the reaction here is that I didn't claim that weren't playing great or that we aren't good. I'm simply suggesting that our second half schedule is looking much tougher than the first half was. If we split with Philly and lose to Arizona and Indy we would be 12-4 and going to the playoffs, but where would we stand?
We would probably be 1-3 against playoff teams.
OK - but when you start a thread saying "we haven't done anything" on a Monday morning after yet another nice win you can expect to be jumped on. For Pete's sake for the first time in years we have something to be excited about week after week.
