I wanted Dez to be great. I have come to the realization that he isn't great. He flashes at times but will never be one of the greats. It is what it is and it is clear the team can win without him. And yes, he might be a hard worker but doesn't mean he is a smart worker. Dez needs to study film and run some NFL routes, the schoolyard stuff isn't working.
Dez is great.
What you're not understanding is he isn't in a offense that gives him volume.
Before his injury last year he was far and away the best player in the NFL at scoring TD's. Nobody is better at doing what matters most in the NFL and that is hitting pay dirt.
That is also with significantly less volume compared to other top WR's.
ODB has gone through this for 1 month now and he can't stand it. He doesn't like not being a 1 man show.
Look at AJ Green yesterday.. Guy is great.. He didn't do squat because we sold out on him and Lafell and Gio were the guys who were going to beat us.
Dallas does the same thing.. We allow teams to take away Dez but usually we try to beat the other team with Beasley and Witten.. Now we got a superstar tailback with Zeke.
