Having Tyron Smith back in the lineup is huge, Dez not needed

I get the Dak v. Romo thing with Dak playing so well. Seeing such a significant portion of the fancies turn on Dez this season, though, is a real head-scratcher for me. I can't imagine a universe where any fan doesn't have a place on the roster for a player like Dez Bryant. And it's not just one misguided dude. There's like, a dozen or more posters who feel this way. I don't get it.

Yeah, see this sort of thing. Have you guys not seen NFL WRs before with all this overpaid diva stuff? Because it pretty much comes with the jerseys that have the 80s on them.

The unprepared/not team first criticisms I don't even recognize, btw. And all because he missed an MRI appointment. It's crazy-talk.

Imagine if Dez was more Fitz than T.O. or Moss?

It's dumb.

ODB goes through what Dez has had to go through schematically for 1 month and he is on a tirade.

Dez by all accounts is a hard worker almost to a fault, great teammate, and just does what he is supposed to do for the most part.

Is he perfect? No.. But who cares. The guy is unbelievable.

I wanted Dez to be great. I have come to the realization that he isn't great. He flashes at times but will never be one of the greats. It is what it is and it is clear the team can win without him. And yes, he might be a hard worker but doesn't mean he is a smart worker. Dez needs to study film and run some NFL routes, the schoolyard stuff isn't working.

What would that actually look like? A 400 yard game on 12 carries? Lol!

Yes, you do need him. He still produces and draws double coverage. When he's in, with Dak's growth, teams will not be placing 8 in the box and he will draw double coverage that will set up everyone else as well.

Dez is great.

What you're not understanding is he isn't in a offense that gives him volume.

Before his injury last year he was far and away the best player in the NFL at scoring TD's. Nobody is better at doing what matters most in the NFL and that is hitting pay dirt.

That is also with significantly less volume compared to other top WR's.

ODB has gone through this for 1 month now and he can't stand it. He doesn't like not being a 1 man show.

Look at AJ Green yesterday.. Guy is great.. He didn't do squat because we sold out on him and Lafell and Gio were the guys who were going to beat us.

Dallas does the same thing.. We allow teams to take away Dez but usually we try to beat the other team with Beasley and Witten.. Now we got a superstar tailback with Zeke.

Who doubles Dez anymore? That is 2 years ago. Teams play in the now and recent film says one does not need to double Dez.

Not comparing him to ODB, you are. I never said ODB was great. Fitz is great, Julio is great, Brown is great. That is where Dez physically belongs but is no where near to. At one time I thought Dez was Megatron's heir apparent. Not anymore...that's crazy talk

The Giants still crammed 8 and sometimes 9 in the box even with Dez out there.

The different the past few weeks is we haven't just mindlessly ran at those front's. We still go at it but now we are doing some things to take advantage of it.

If we keep running the ball like this then there is no excuse for Dez Bryant to not go on a terror when he gets back.

Volume, volume, volume.

Also, Dez is better than Fitzgerald.

I think he does go on a tear once he returns.

You're certifiable nuts. Fitz is first ballot, Dez is no ballot.

Whatever.

Dez is top 6 all time in TD's for WR's in their first 5 years.

It's easy to kick a guy when he is down and that's what Dez has been.

If you want to argue that Dez is injury prone then fine.. Have at it.. But Dez Bryant when healthy is GREAT and his numbers will back it up because he is better than Julio, Antonio, or any of the rest of them at consistently hitting pay dirt without being featured in the offense.

You guys really feel confident saying he isn't great? Like really?

Say he is injury prone if you want to criticize him. But Dez Bryant is AMAZING.
