Well, here's one way we could have solved the problem at DE (I assume he's not being traded to play the nose position that he refused to play in DC). Very surprising deal!

Mike Shanahan got the deal he wants, and now Albert Haynesworth is Bill Belichick’s problem.
In a blockbuster trade for a player who’s capable of being one of the best defensive linemen of the league — or one of the biggest headaches in the league — the Washington Commanders have traded Haynesworth to the New England Patriots, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
The compensation for the former NFL Defensive Player of the Year is a fifth-round pick in 2013.
Haynesworth, who will have to pass his physical for the trade to become official, is scheduled to make $5 million this season.
