HC Mike McCarthy on Ezekiel Elliott Smacking his "backside"

Locker room chemistry from veterans like Zeke is an underrated aspect of developing young talent. I remember Zeke being a very important motivator of the offensive line for years, and I'm sure he'll help the group out. I'm extremely glad he's back, nothing would make me happier than to see him get 1,000+ and have a second rebirth here.
Zeke an important motivator? Lol If anything, it was the other way around, the 2013-2019 oline had already established themselves as dominant run blockers. Were already all pros before Zeke came around
In 2013 Murray had 1121 yards at 5.2 ypc

2014: Murray had 1845 yards at 4.7 ypc

2015: They made McFadden look good, by giving him his second 1000 yard season. He 1089 yards for 4.6 ypc and he didn't even start the first 6 games.

Can we put an name on this, let’s change Hot Boyz to Hot A_$$

I'm not going to enjoy another guy slapping my behind
And if I did I'll be damned if I tell you
Looks like Jerry has some competition with things you just shouldn't say
To be fair, I've never had the opportunity.

Good observation that most folks don’t understand

I would guess that mike doesnt like everyone slapping his backside. Its just appriciation for zekes youthful enthusiam. He always was a good team mate...hard worker with an easy spirit is good to be around.

Get real. People want players who get things done at the NFL, not a country club where the good ol' boys can slap each other on the butt. This is pro football.

There is no understanding necessary because it is b.s. Grown adult, professional men don't need butt slaps and friendly guys who don't belong on an NFL roster to get over.

You think Jimmy Johnson wanted washed up butt slappers, or did he want the best players he could find?

Looks like Zeke is happy to be back at the Country Club.... and MM enjoying it as well.. yeah, things getting back to normal.

Wow…the quotes you get from a HC who knows he’s a dead man walking this year if he doesn’t exceed what he’s already done…and knows he has to pretend he has a great RB again.

good to know zeke is serious, and is afraid of his HC. He should excel now.

JG liked slapping his players butts, but mike likes the players to slap his butt !

Yeah mike has full control of the team lol.

I dont check here for a few weeks and this is the first thing i see.

Ill see you guys next year

Even the slightest camaraderie news gets dumped on.

And someone said the team has weirdos. Some fans are worse.

People who never played ball never experienced a teammate or coach buttslap so they don't understand. It's not worth trying to explain it to them.
I played baseball. We touched hands. Sometimes open, sometimes a fist.

I dunno how y’all big tough football dudes like to touch each other lol, lower I guess…but….hey I’m just having fun.

While we are doing all that fun, my interpretation of it all, from the standpoint of what Zeke meant….

‘I’m going to respect you, because I’m wise enough now to know that you need me to do that, but I got a direct line to Jerry, so don’t mess with me. I’m gettin my carries.’
