Heard a tidbit about Holland on GaC today

Update on Holland per David Moore this morning on the Ticket...Holland will be out another week and will not be playing the Minny game.

This guy is milking the clock!

I'm OK with this because I'd rather see how one of the younger guys plays with the starters anyway.

Holland has already shown briefly how he can play when healthy. It's more important right now to keep building up these young guys because if (when) Holland gets hurt, we're going to have to rely on them. Or if he's so rusty and out of shape when the season starts that we have to replace him, someone will be ready.

My Plan A still would be to replace him with Brian Waters, but I have to acknowledge that there may be something Dallas knows about Waters' health/decline that I don't and that it doesn't appear the Cowboys share my plan.

So if Holland is Dallas' Plan A, we need to get that Plan B (probably Nagy or Costa at this point) as ready as possible.

Reading a few pages of responses it appears some people think I'm in favor of starting Holland. I wasn't saying that at all. I was trying to say that if the coaches think he's the best G they have to pair with Kosier week 1, then they should start him. I'm not about sitting a guy and making him earn anything if he's clearly better than our next option.

Sure, he's out of shape. Yes, he gets hurt rolling out of bed. But if he's the best right now, he should start. That's all I'm saying.

I would stick to the youth movement and go with Nagy.

The oline is playing really good right now and I love the athleticism.

I would too. I want a more athletic line. I'm tired of the big, lazy, slow footed space eaters.
