Not buying the MM praise.
MM brought in Nolan and it was a train wreck. Jerry hired Quinn and he brought a "all in" mentality to the defense and it has spread across the team . MM is just another Wade Phillips who stays out of the way.

They've been adding vets with the right character to mentor the young pups, never liked the too cool for school or the I'm not gonna help a young guy that wants to take my job attitudes, selfishness has no place in a winning culture, this team acts and plays like a family. And that is a thing that Big Mike brought in and should be praised.

Yes, and that was something that he brought to Green Bay when he was there. He's been very good about keeping the team tightknit.

It's not that simple to compare stats. Gallup didn't come back until halfway through this season, and he's still not fully recovered from his ACL tear and surgery from January 2022.

But if you truly want to compare stats, look at Noah Brown's yearly receiving stats during Amari's presence and after:

2022DAL4355512.9513
2021DAL1618411.5270
2020DAL1415411.0200
2018DAL55410.8220
2017DAL4338.3140

Looks like Noah Brown has performed much better after Amari Cooper left than when he was here. Pretty much destroys your wishful thinking that Amari was helping our other receivers since Noah Brown himself was not able to get on the field before and produce much better results like today now that Amari has been gone this season. If Amari was truly helping Noah Brown during Amari's years as a Cowboy, why didn't Noah Brown perform better like he has this season?
You know you're stretching with this but I'll humor you. Noah Brown's production increased because the offense had to replace 104 targets. He was used as an over-the-middle short-mid range target when Cooper was here, and his role was elevated to WR3 this season. You can clearly see that his YPC has increased every year and to assume that the vet receiver in the room had no role in that is pretty silly.

How is Cedric Wilson looking in Miami without Coop to lean on? Tyreek Hill is unanimously considered a superior player and Ced was expected to have a breakthrough season in that offense, but he disappeared. Why? If you're going to use the development of one player as an argument, you have to consider everyone else in similar positions. One would expect Ced to have a better year playing opposite an elite veteran receiver, but clearly that wasn't the case.

More importantly, why did Dak's interception output spike this season? He missed 5 games and still threw 5 more picks than he did in a full season last year. The passing offense was fine with Gallup out of the lineup prior to this season, but took a substantial hit in the TD/Int ratio, and looked sporadic at best throughout this season. You can say it's because the offense needed two of the three (CeeDee, Coop, MG), and you would be proving my point. We missed out on the #1 seed by two games. One can easily look at the schedule, pinpoint a pair of games that could have been won with better offensive output, and realistically say that they could've been won.

It doesn't matter anymore because the team looks to have caught fire at the right time, after some late acquisitions on that side of the ball. I'm optimistic that this team will break the curse and I'm thrilled to see how it plays out. I just can't for the life of me understand why you and others continue to trash the guy when he was clearly a catalyst for offensive production and could have been the difference between the #5 seed and the #1 seed.

I disagree. I think McCarthy has changed the culture and has the team overcoming obstacles, jinxes and other bullcrap narratives. The baby picture thing was a Jimmy Johnson type pschology move. So far MM is doing the thing.

Is this a serious question, so because a 7th round pick didn't improve in the "Amari years" thats on Amari, guess he was supposed to be WR coach also....com'on now.

He's got better numbers now cause he's gotten more playing time - before he was stuck behind Cooper,Lamb,Gallup and Wilson.

Now, Cooper and Wilson gone and Gallup was still recovering from the year before injury - has nothing to do wether Amari helped or not.

If we taking in those term guess you have to give credit to Amari for Lambs and Gallups development.

I’m so glad Coopers gone.

They were talking about how much an influence with Cee Dee, Gallup and the rest of the receivers TY Hilton has been. TY’s been around and has some skins on the wall. Playoffs, played with great receivers so he knows what it takes to be a successful WR. He’s passing the knowledge to the young guys. They haven’t had that in the past. Cooper would rather play chess than play football it seems. So Kudo’s to the FO for passing on “get everyone off the damn plane” OBJ and signing TY Hilton. Great signing.
I said when they signed him and when the met with OBJ that they really wanted to add an experienced WR to the roster to help the young WRs.

Do you have proof Amari shared his knowledge with the rest of the receivers other than CeeDee?
Here ya go...

"I love Amari Cooper," Gallup said Thursday, via Clarence Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. "He taught me so many things. I wish him the best. He is a great player and great friend. He was the first one who hit me up when I got the new deal and he let me know I am that dude. He's a lifelong friend to me."
Gallup noted that Cooper was the first person to reach out after he signed his new deal, even knowing it likely meant the end to Cooper's run in Dallas.

That's 2 receivers. How about the others?

I thought I can remember an article that Cooper was showing CD or one of the other receivers some nuances of the position. Maybe I'm wrong? I liked Cooper, so maybe I'm making it up.

I listen to Cowboys stuff 75% of the entire day. You’re the first person I’ve ever heard say JJ brought in DQ. There are even high page count threads here in CZ about how it happened. Sorry bruh to disappoint you, DQ was hand picked by Big Mike.
