Heisman winner is?

He's a true Soph he can't go pro. Alabama will still be really good next year.

He has to be out of HS for three years I guess so if he is a true Soph, then he probably can't go. However, it's still very unlikely that he wins again next year. Not impossible but unlikely, if he wins it this year. I doubt he will. He didn't win the Doak Walker award and that, to me, says a lot.

Oh yeah. Pike will play in the NFL.

Pike just needs some time in the weight room but that guy is going to be a good player in the NFL imo.

Ingram wins.

Pike floats the ball way too much. You can't put that much air underneath the ball and have a pro career unless you are Vinnie Testeverde.

Hard to believe he is the first ever from Bama.

Roll Tide!

Congratulations Mark Ingram.

He has a VERY familiar style.

Ingram can have the Heisman, Colt will take one of these...

I wish Colt could have won one during his college career, but Ingram had a great year. Congrats to Mark Ingram and to 'Bama fans!

Right on!! :D

If A&M has a better season next year, look for Johnson to be a Heisman darkhorse.....this kid can play.

Thank god you were wrong !!!

Neither qb's deserved it. The other 3 players did.

Yeah, Colt deserved it last year, no question. That's life, not fair but it is what it is.

Thank goodness Colt didn't win it.....look at the lack of success for Heisman winners since Andre Ware. Honestly, the award seems cursed.

Ware - mediocre NFL career, IMO a bust
Detmer - career backup, IMO a bust
Howard - mediocre, except for 1 SB kick return TD
Torretta - bombed in the NFL
Charlie Ward - never played a down in the NFL (did have a solid NBA career)
Rashaan Salaam - bust
Eddie George - solid NFL career
Danny Wuerffel - bust
Charles Woodson - solid NFL career (best career of this group)
Ricky Williams - solid career when not on pot, but not a world beater that he was hyped to be
Ron Dayne - bust
Chris Weinke - bust
Eric Crouch - couldnt play QB or S in the NFL, fizzled out fast
Carson Palmer - solid NFL career, up there with Woodson as best of the group
Jason White - did he even play in the NFL?
Matt Leinart - bust so far
Reggie Bush - wins Heisman, loses in BCS Championship Game, considering the hype, he has been average at best
Troy Smith - the jury is still out, has played well when given the opportunity
Tim Tebow - still in college
Sam Bradford - wins Heisman, loses the BCS Championship Game, then loses Junior year to injury and surgery
Mark Ingram - still in college

I agree with all that but I like his physical abilities and he is far from a finished product.

He is a player that could develop into something good.

Congratulations Mark Ingram on the Heisman but the National Championship will go to Texas.

Not much success for sure.

I'd rate the top 6 so far:

Charles Woodson (HOFer)
Eddie George (prob HOFer)
Carson Palmer (v good)
Ricky Williams (good)
Reggie Bush (good)
R Dayne (so-so)
