He said it is one extreme to the next. Against Atlanta they put Chaz Green on an island and pretty much let him play by himself and it was a disaster. Everybody criticizes them so what do they do, they leave pretty much the TEs in all game and help Bell on virtually every single play but totally take the TEs out of the passing game.

There is no middle ground, it goes from one extreme one week to one extreme the next week and always overcompensating for what didn't work.

If that is not a perfect description of this coaching staff, I don't know what is. They are always reactionary, making adjustments so far in the opposite direction it is comical.

Worse..they make their "adjustments" a week too late.

Based on what they believed they had with Green they played him the way they shlouldve.

I thought he was gonna do fine. I thought the defense was gonna be in trouble against Atlanta.

I think the coaches knew how scrubby bell is going in to it and planned accordingly.

The real issue is in the two games is green laying down.

Well that and the stubbornness of the coaching staff

Agreed. It's a total embarrassment. The Eagles make it work with multiple running backs. They make it work with a backup left tackle. They adjust on the fly. All things this Cowboys coaching staff either cannot or will not do.

If three players (Tyron, Zeke, and Lee) mean this much to the success or lack thereof of this team, there's a fundamental problem. I've been supportive of Jason Garrett before, but last night was the last straw.

Maybe it's time for a culture change.

Garrett has always been reactionary. That's what happens when you have very little experience. You can't change on the fly and overreact much later.

Watch a little kid play basketball. If he misses one badly to the left, the next one is going way right.

I predicted they would do exactly that. Pathetic.

I almost made a thread about this. That's Garrett for you. I remember in 2009 (he was OC) against the Broncos, we ran Barber up the middle on like the 2 yard line 3 times, and he got stuffed every time. He got flack for it. The next week against the Chargers in the same situation, we run 3 pass plays, which also didnt work. No feel for the game at all.

On the Musers (the ticket) a few days ago they predicted this would happen because as they put it "this coaching staff is very sensitive to media criticism". They mentioned several times over the last few years when Garrett received criticism for not running enough, not passing enough, not getting Dez the ball, etc...etc...the very next game after getting rammed by the media/press all week they would do the drastic opposite. It's sickening how easily he's swayed. He's a ***** just trying to keep a job.

Garrett is just not fit for the NFL. Maybe high school football coach in the Midwest would be better for him. He wouldn't even cut it in Texas because he wouldn't like the spread/Air Raid offenses that this state is known for.

Now we need the media to tell him to quit this week. ;)

It's always been like this. If Jason gets critiqued for not running the ball, next week the RB is gonna be sore **. It's a childish knee jerk reaction that tells you that he doesn't know what he is doing at this level of competition.

Eatman was laughing also that he and Helman were calling the plays before the snap and saying "how sad" it was that a couple of reporters watching from the press box could call the plays we were running.
My blonde GF can guess the plays and she doesn't know anything about FB. The modern film and tendencies breakdown for most teams is truly amazing these days, they know exactly what is coming.

It was the end zone fade to Dez, where he got held, they were talking about. That pass has done a lot of damage in the red zone in recent years. I have no problem with throwing it when Dez has single coverage, and that blown call was about as blatant as you're going to see, which is saying a lot in this league.

Yeah.. The Break Crew was all over the Coaching Staff today. I think they realize the season is pretty much a wrap. Eatman was pretty pissed today.
