Garrett has always been reactionary. That's what happens when you have very little experience. You can't change on the fly and overreact much later.

Watch a little kid play basketball. If he misses one badly to the left, the next one is going way right.

He’s had what 10 years now to figure some of this out as a coach. For Christ sakes the dude grew up in a coaching family and played for years. You’d think he would have a wealth of experience by now!

Add to the fact they have 2 former NFL HC’s on staff and a former Division 1 HC on the staff they should be able to figure this crap out.

He said it is one extreme to the next. Against Atlanta they put Chaz Green on an island and pretty much let him play by himself and it was a disaster. Everybody criticizes them so what do they do, they leave pretty much the TEs in all game and help Bell on virtually every single play but totally take the TEs out of the passing game.

There is no middle ground, it goes from one extreme one week to one extreme the next week and always overcompensating for what didn't work.

If that is not a perfect description of this coaching staff, I don't know what is. They are always reactionary, making adjustments so far in the opposite direction it is comical.

I used to complain about this a few years ago, before Zeke, when they would get pass Happy and abandoned the run in a game and lose.
The fans and local press would complain about the coaches abandoning the run.

Next game they would over run the ball to the point of it seeming like they were trying to prove some idiotic point.

Helman is an idiot.
He makes stuff up to have a good story. He should watch games and understand THE game.

the experience is issue is a bit of a stretch now, he has been HC since 2010. If he hasn't figured it out by now, he never will

JG has zero feel of the game. Which is shocking since he played back up for a while.

How are you going to get a feel for the game sitting on the bench?

The guy was a 2 year QB coach before becoming an offensive coordinator.

Linehan was an offensive coordinator at the college or NFL level for nearly 20 years before becoming a head coach and still lacked the ability.

Yup. Been saying it for years about Garrett. All goes back to when he was playcalling. If he would give a game away because of throwing too much when we had a big lead and didnt have to he would get hammered by the media and fans. Rightfully so I might add. Then the next week he would come out with an offense that would make Knute Rockne blush. Run it EVERY DOWN no matter the circumstance. Like he wanted almost us to lose so he could say..." see, that way doesnt work either". One extreme to another. The guys NUTS,....always has been. Cant wait till he's gone.

It was the end zone fade to Dez, where he got held, they were talking about. That pass has done a lot of damage in the red zone in recent years. I have no problem with throwing it when Dez has single coverage, and that blown call was about as blatant as you're going to see, which is saying a lot in this league.

Really i was shouting "dont you throw that ball please dont you".

Dak is not able to throw the back shoulder fade. But thats the ball he has to deliver in this situation. And Dez is not able to seperate on the fades.

Based on what they believed they had with Green they played him the way they shlouldve.

I thought he was gonna do fine. I thought the defense was gonna be in trouble against Atlanta.

I think the coaches knew how scrubby bell is going in to it and planned accordingly.

The real issue is in the two games is green laying down.

Well that and the stubbornness of the coaching staff
No excuse for having Green have his *** handed to him for an entire game. Do....... something.

He was a back up but was on the sidelines with some players and coaches. Not to mention he did actually start some games.

2011-2014 maybe. Dak does not know how to throw to Dez. I have a feeling Dez is going to go somewhere else and get back to his high pointing ways in a year or two.

Based on what they actually had with Green they should have opened their eyes in the 1st quarter and started giving him some help.

When Garrett told Michelle Tafoya that the plan was to run the ball and throw dunks and dunks and something would break for them, that was the final straw.

I am completely out now on Garrett.
