Ugh. I dont want an interim on the staff winning a couple games and getting the gig. I want at least an attempt to look outside the building and see if anybody talented is actually willing to work for Jerry.
This is my fear as well, because we all just know it would be Zimmer slotted into the interim HC role. If he somehow rattles a couple wins off, you know what Jerry would do.

Houston is banged up on both sides of the ball, and their QB has regressed a bit this year. We played an average team and still got tattooed at home

Doing nothing and finishing with 3 wins would be the best medicine for this team and land us in draft spots that even Jerry cant f up...... though he should never be underestimated.

Zimmer would fix a lot of this.
LOL
Height of nepotism and incompetence and looking back instead of looking ahead
Zimmer would be perfect for Jerry and Dak and absolutely horrible for this team

We need a complete reset

New HC and let him hire his OC/DC
Trade idiots like Diggs and Parsons who are bigger than the team
Draft QB rd 1 and tell Dak new QB starts by mid season, Dak can sit or be traded

Takes some stones to change this team’s culture and Jerry dont have it

Doesn’t really matter as the season is toast. I say play the young guys and let them get reps while we tank for a high pick.

1989 they went 1-15
But there was hope on the horizon. Not just hope, everyone knew the team was going to get better.
Especially after the Walker trade.
Everyone knew all those players were tied to picks and no way they were not going to release them. Except one stayed, but he was tied to more like a 2nd or 3rd round pick. And he ended up being a key player.

This team and the salary cap. And the way the roster must keep some players. It is all hope.

Did anyone else catch this nugget from Aikmanast night? He said that Zimmer told Kendricks that if he wanted to play beyond this year “he” had a spot for him. That indicates to me that Jerry will once again saddle the new coach with the staff Jerry picked, not his own. What HC in their right minds would walk into this dysfunctional mess? I can honestly see Jerry promoting Zimmer to head coach thinking a healthy roster and a couple of additions will get them back to competing again.

Belichick! It's Parcell 2.0.......he and Zimm are from the same tree
Parcell retained Zimm and switched to a 3-4 D
