Hendrickson to Ravens

If the Cowboys want him they can still get him.
Maybe they wait until Crosby is further along in his recovery. Reporting by Slater describes an issue with bone and cartilage health. The Raiders should keep him and try to move him at the trade deadline later this year. The only way to stand firm on two first rounders as compensation. It's too soon at the moment. Cooper examined the MRIs so Dallas knows what the Ravens know. It's not worth the risk at present...especially with the draft still to come. You could end up missing some of your draft targets at 12 and 20. It's too much to give up for a defense that is not solid front to back. You add a Crosby for draft picks when your defense is solid at all positions. Not before that. Otherwise it's just a tremendous waste of resources, especially for an older player who has had 8 surgeries in seven seasons. He plays violently and like mike linebackers will incur a lot of self damage as a result.

Crosby does't have a no-trade clause. He goes where Vegas sends him. Cowboys wouldn't give up two firsts to get him (Ravens did until they rescinded the deal) and they absolutely should not have done it in light of the current news. I've said it before...the defense needs to be better front to back before you expend significant draft capital on an edge rusher. We had Parsons for four years...with an abominable run defense.

I'm done with the "he'll make everybody better" mantra. I want the damn defense to actually be better position by position. THEN add your YOUNG, superstar edge beast.
The run defense should be massively improved this year. If it isn't, then we've got a huge problem with the amount of money invested in run defense. No doubt we still have issues at inside linebacker. It's hard to grade the DBs when the QB of the opposing team has all day to go thru his progressions. We need someone that can get pressure on the QB and we need DBs that fit CP's scheme. One without the other doesn't give you enough information about what needs to be fixed.

These 1st rounders mean nothing under Jerry world. How many of our 1st round picks has helped us just reach the NFC championship game in the past 30 years? Give it up for a great pass rusher since you traded your other one away last year.
Micah Parsons? We had the generational talent for four years and couldn't stop the run worth a crap. Meaning...the defense was not solid front to back. It was great in one place...substandard in too many others. And in the wash it wasn't nearly good enough overall when the chips were really down. Crosby is just more of the same with a defense that is in rebuilding mode. You add a Crosby for draft capital when your defense is solid...not rebuilding.

Don't get me wrong. I'm down for Crosby but not if it costs two first rounders. Not the way the defense is right now. If it's just trading for his salary then sign me up...I'm there. But burning draft capital for rebuilding a defense is where I have to get off the train. I still think that this is at least a two year build.

Completely agree.
