All the hidden agenda, never wanted to give him a chance talk... it doesn't make sense to me.

That's because it's an asinine theory to begin with.

I don't get what people think Parcells had to gain in seeing Henson fail here? If he was a good enough QB Bill would have been looking for every opportunity to get him improved to the point where he could start.

Bill obviously never saw Henson perform well enough and now it's been decided by whoever to call it quits.

All the hidden agenda, never wanted to give him a chance talk... it doesn't make sense to me.

He certainly seemed patient enough with Quincy who was another one of Jerry's kids.

I also will wish Henson best of luck where-ever he may end up.... I think that the Boys wont get very much for him probably a late round draft pick at best. I also feel that he didn't get a fair shake here but thats all water under the bridge now.... Good luck Drew

Coach Bill Parcells says Drew Henson will not be a Cowboy in 2006.

Dallas could stick with just Drew Bledsoe and Tony Romo at QB but it's also possible they'll retain undrafted rookie Matt Baker or search the waiver wire. Henson, the former Columbus Clipper, is reportedly being shopped.

Howdy hello.

I like your sig pic.

Thank you Sir. Juke deserves the Lion's share of the credit. I found the picture but he made it look good.

Maybe he just didn't have as much potential as people thought? I mean he's white, he's 6'4", and he was QB at a big name school. I understand that's enough for a lot of people...but maybe it's not everything?

Interesting....

Called this and the Romo improvement 1 1/2 ago. I love it when I am right! I am surprised Henson lasted this long. I pointed out that he could not even take a snap properly and that although he had the size and arm, he did not have it upstairs, plus he was just too mechanical. Romo is fluid and confident and I would not necessarily start him now as I believe Drew is a nice QB, but I see great things in the future for Romo and if Bledsoe gtes sacked a lot, Romo will come in like Brady did.

Okay, prognosticator extraordinaire.

Tell me the winning numbers to the Georgia State Lottery, and I'll be impressed.

Now that takes some predicting skills right dare. :D

I agree.

You wouldn't get rid of a player that had the potential to start and star for your franchise.

And there is no indication of attitude, ala, TO, so it just doesn't make sense, as you say.

Interesting....

It could possibly be the fact that he had about 20 TD's and 6 Ints at a big time college against top level competition. And predicted to be the number one QB chosen at that time when he was supposed to come out.

Maybe - just maybe...

Nah - he was white and 6'4"

Henson isnt worth anything right now. Maybe a conditional 7th

One thing I never understand is, IMHO, why would any real fan be glad when a player fails? Everyone has their favorite players which is cool, but to be glad that a player failed? Makes no sense to me, another wasted draft pick. Everyone rips the Dan trading his draft picks, but to tell you the truth, I'd rather trade them than waste them. Haven't we had enough wasted picks in the last decade? 2002 for instance, what was then dubbed, the greatest draft in Cowboy's history. We have what, 2 players left from that draft? Yes I know I'm rambling now, but I rarely post so please pardon my waste space. To me it seems, root for your favorites by all means, but never root for a Cowboy to fail. We want the best players on the field regardless if he's your "guy" or not.
Anyway, thats probably enough from me for you guys this season.

God Bless Tom Landry

i think it's more about getting rid of the dead wood. not wasting time "developing" guys who don't show much.

The truth probably lies somewhere in the middle.

Geez i just got home, come to the board and there is a bunch of pages and threads about Henson being gone. Cant say i'm surprised though as it was clear that Parcells just didnt think much of him. the thing that sucks is we gave up a 3rd rd pick for him and now trading him we probably get a 5th rd pick at best

Does it really matter if it sucks for the cowboys, so long as you can sprain your elbow patting yourself on the back?
