I can't see the harm in keeping him as 3rd string, especially since he has been here and knows the system and everything.

He showed at least that much in NFLE this summer I thought.

Sad day for me, but it's time we move on and all get behind all the players on the roster.

I always thought Henson is more of a gamer than a practice player. He always seemed to play better in scrimmages or games than in practice. BP needs a player that can demonstrate consistency in practice before he will trust them. That along with Henson's still developing ability to read defenses seems to be his undoing...

That's my question, too. Might be our way of making up for the extra bodies in the special teams area.

I honestly think Henson saw the writing on the wall and asked to be traded.

Unlike Ellis however, Parcells was willing to oblidge.

Me neither. It doesn't make sense unless

1) He wanted out.
2) He was really bad. Which I doubt.

I was very hopeful for Henson as many others were...to bad it did not work out. I'm just glad Romo seems to be...at least one has a promising future.

Now can we please at least land a good olineman or 4th rounder, or good vet 3rd stringer to replace him!

You would think his potential with a desparate team could land us a good olineman.

As angry as Parcells sounded about him, it almost makes you think they had a blow-up of some kind.

His 'demotion' from the roster almost sounded like a parent punishing his child.

'Oh, he's going to school today!, but he's not playing at recess...'

It's fairer for Henson this way. He gets a chance at another team, rather than waiting until the end of summer. Besides, sounds like there may be some sort of trade in the works.

I'd do that trade again in a second. a 3rd for a guy with Henson's skills is as good a risk as any 3rd rounder.

In answer to that--Parcells told reporters to go look at every team's draft from 5 years back on. Then point to one team that HASN'T had some missed picks.

No agenda. I just don't see how folks worship this guy. He hasn't looked like a starting QB in training camp, in the preseason, in the regular season, or in NFL Europe. Boy, get yourself labeled as a first rounder in someone's mock draft, and you get a free 5 year pass. Meanwhile, Romo looks leaps and bounds better, is putting up insane preseason numbers, but no one notices him. That's an agenda, if I've ever seen one.

I agree. We see teams spend #1 picks on QB's that don't make it every year. Dallas took a chance and it did not pan out
