The New Orleans Saints are one of just four teams left standing in the NFL playoffs. If they get one more win, they are in the Super Bowl for the first time in team history.
Across the country, there is an outpouring of support.
"They are, to me, the new America's Team. If you don't have a team, the Saints are your team," ESPN's Wright Thompson said.
He added that the Who Dat Nation is infectious with enthusiasm. "I mean, How can you not look at these folks going nuts and not sort of feel and want to be a part of it?"
Why are the Saints so popular?
"People are looking for some sort of joy, and this is it with a cherry on top," Thompson said. "It's for a lot of the same reasons that there are so many people across the country who feel like New Orleans is their city... Everybody who isn't a fan of one of the other three teams, is a Saints fan this Sunday."
We are hearing the same sentiment from others who point out the Saints are an easy bunch of guys to like, they are the oldest team in the NFL to never go to the Super Bowl or league championship and there is the Katrina factor.
"Everyone here watches the news. Everyone knows what happened to one of the great cities in the country, and I think the Saints are a really easy team to root for," says Boston Herald Patriots beat writer Ian Rappaport.
