Here's a thought Mike Jenkins to FS

I think Jenkins would be as injury prone at FS as at CB in our scheme. But you're just making the CB position worse than it already is. You need at least three quality starting CBs then throw in a couple more good or better stand ins for the inevitable injuries.

While I'd love a ballhawking FS, we need to address CB first. Elam and Sensi can 'get by' for now esp if we improve CB and pass rush.

Too many holes to fill.

They are both terrible ideas but the Newman idea was worse. Newman offered next to nothing as a saftey. He was brittle, had questionable instincts, and was not exactly a ballhawk. Neither Newman nor Jenkins could tackle well but at least Jenkins has shown an ability to play the ball. I thought the "Newman to safety suggestions" were absurd and "Jenkins to safety" is not far behind.
