Here's a thought Mike Jenkins to FS

Why do people think a CB moving to safety is a natural move? Some guys like Ronnie Lott did as well as a few others but most do not because it is not the same position nor the same responsbilty. Why not move the Center to QB. Jenkins is a CB and a very good one at that

If you're going to have Scandrick at one CB spot and spend big on the defensive backfield in free agency, wouldn't it make more sense to simply get 27 year old Michael Griffin from the Titans to play safety and leave Jenkins at his RCB position?

1. Either way we are taking a chance that Scandrick can play outside.

2. Jenkins and Griffin would both be at their normal positions.

3. A good safety will cost less in free agency than a good corner will.

4. Griffin is younger than Finnegan is and so would have more time in Dallas.


And frankly, I want Scandrick to say in the slot and bring in another CB to play opposite Jenkins.

I agree. You want to get a safety then go get a safety you want a CB then go out and get a CB but don't waste the time trying to convert players from one to the other.

Jenkins is an outside CB, I think Scandrick is a fine slot CB and with Newman likely gone Dallas must find another outside CB.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind getting Griffin AND Finnegan. That would make a night and day difference in the secondary. Plus, Finnegan would bring some much needed attitude to the defense.

We found out this year why Mike Jenkins was hesitant to tackle in prior years.

His body is just no that solid. He is a bit frail IMO. He proved this year that he was going to put his heart into it and he did, but his body paid the price.

And now you want to move him to Safety!!!!!:bang2:

i say give it a try and sign one of the top corners Finnegan or Cox, move Oscan opposite new corner and draft one in top 3 Rounds

Draft NT and pass rusher

FS= Jenkins

RCB = Oscan

LOLB= Ware

MILB= FA

MOLB= Lee

ROLB= Butler/Draft pick

Stay away from Finnegan Also, I can't believe one would suggest him with the bad pub Dallas Has been getting lately. We Should've Went after Cro ( Jets ) when we had a chance. How Much of a hit would we Take if T. New is cut?

Because many CBs who were a little flawed mostly slowed down some played S well. Many have done it. The problem now is you basically need another CB back there but one big and fast enough and tough enough to do the job. That's not an easy person to find. The game has changed.
