Orton did a good job filling in. Almost pulled it off.

He had a clean pocket partly mainly because he got rid of the ball so fast.

In the first half, cause Murray was running well. The second half, it was the same exact replica as Green Bay.

With yet another moral victory, the Cowboys will charge headfirst into the imaginary feel-good playoffs for losers.

But yes, Orton did play well. As well as you can expect a guy who hasn't played in 2 years to play.

Actually, he played phenomenal for not playing since 2011. 358 yards and 2 td's is very good. There are a lot of things that could have been done differently for us to get the win. Better play calling, Murray not fumbling, Witten trying harder on that Int, etc. At the end of the day Orton choked, but I was very impressed with the way he played the majority of the game.

Ok, well we can agree to disagree then. I saw a QB who got rid of the ball very fast all night and it had nothing to do with the running game or Oline IMO. He looked very crisp and even got the defense to jump offsides 3 times. When was the last time you saw Romo do that? Orton even ran for a first down... lol.

Orton was great, yes great, even with the interception. I think they should've helped him with a running game, though. They put too much on his rusty shoulders. He did his best with help from the O-line which kept him sack-free.

I thought the throw to Witten was behind him too

Yup, ball was behind Witten but Witten could have made that catch. Witten made an extremely lazy attempt at catching that ball. I have seen him do that several times over his career too. I love Witten but he could have caught that ball.

Sure.. And pretty much just settled for field goals the whole first half, despite Murray going off... Sounds familiar... Against the blitz, we just tossed it up to Dez on third and long unsuccessfully multiple times. The only time we had success scoring TDs was when we went up the seams and the drag rout to Dez. We are successful with Romo doing that...

Btw, it was clearly part of the game plan to attack short and be cautious. The team was practicing for that, like the first time they played the Commanders this year to handle the blitz. Reality is, Dallas has never been really bad on its first series of play calling, it's what happens after that and onwards. They resort to the same horrendous tendencies.

I honestly don't think Romo would have played any better than Kyle. 358 yards and 2 td's was very solid. He did a few things out there better than Romo IMO. Like getting the ball out much quicker, not hiking the ball with zero seconds on the clock, getting the defense to jump offsides 3 freaking times, etc. That is sad when Orton is nothing more than a backup and Romo is a 108m QB. Think about it.

Romo stats in the Commanders game. 170 yards, 1 td, and 1 int. 72.9 QBR.

My hats off to this guy. He comes in there after not starting since 2011 and throws for 358 yards and 2 td's. Sure he choked at the end but I thought he played very honorably for most of the game. He got the defense to jump offsides 3 times, never hiked the ball with no time on the clock, made some great throws, and played with confidence the whole time.

I think many people out there thought we would get beat badly but that wasn't the case and Kyle was a big reason for that. Was a very enjoyable game to watch.

Nothing against Orton, he played his game, but although you won't admit it, we win this game by 17 points if Romo plays.

So Orton should get credit for the Eagles sloppy play... Let's not forget to mention those three times we were in 3rd and long.. When the Eagles finally got disciplined, same exact story... 3rd and long sucks... And again, the team planned conservative in the beginning... They practiced for it... but they abandoned it...

Couldn't get us in the end zone. FGs aren't good enough. He didn't play well enough. Period.

That isn't what I'm referring to. What I was saying was the Cowboys came out with that short game plan like they did with Romo against the Commanders. But in this game, liken many times, they resort to the same tendencies. They did it with Orton, like Romo. They got behind and then opened the passing game up.

Dude, get out of here with that comment. I think we actually kept the game close because Orton played. 358 yards and 2 td's is more than Romo has ever done in an elimination game. In Romo's last 2 win or go home games he played way worse than Orton did.
