Personally, I would rather have the Orton money going to a decent veteran safety so to play the snaps going to Jeff Heath. We'd probably be in the playoffs.

I don't know of anyone saying he was better, just that Kyle was more than capable of filling in.

Some guy actually has it in his sig..................a couple of other guys mentioned it as well.....................I doubt we will see any of them on here for awhile.

I honestly don't think Romo would have played any better than Kyle. 358 yards and 2 td's was very solid. He did a few things out there better than Romo IMO. Like getting the ball out much quicker, not hiking the ball with zero seconds on the clock, getting the defense to jump offsides 3 freaking times, etc. That is sad when Orton is nothing more than a backup and Romo is a 108m QB. Think about it.

What I think about is Romo's 3 to 1 TD to interception ratio for the season..................Orton had 2 picks so he should have had 6 TDs if we are going to play that game.

In the Denver game, Romo had 5 to 1 TD to interception ratio.......................tonight, Orton had a 1 to 2 TD to interception ratio.........................you can get all excited about drawing guys off sides, but I will take a positive TD ratio any day over that.

Dude, get out of here with that comment. I think we actually kept the game close because Orton played. 358 yards and 2 td's is more than Romo has ever done in an elimination game. In Romo's last 2 win or go home games he played way worse than Orton did.

Lol, ok bro, ok.

Hilarious that the Romo haters are pissed that Orton choked.................if we would have won, there would be 25 threads on here saying Orton can get the job done and Romo couldnt.

Romo also takes a lot more sacks because of his "keeping the play alive" mentality that everyone loves.

I'm just pointing out double standards. Orton played great, but he also had a clean pocket all day. He also threw 46 times and nobody is saying he was checking out of run plays.

True but he doesn't have a 100 million dollar contract either. We get the same thing from our 100 million dollar man, which at this point getting that kind of output at that pay is robbery plus screws up the cap.

Kudos to Orton...at least it was a game when almost everyone was predicting a blow out

Orton is less accurate, less mobile, more turnover proned, never had a QB rating over 90 in his career, and lost his job to Tim Tebow.

Other than that, he is franchise material!

And seriously, I don't think anyone could have expected more out of him tonight. Unfortunately our HC did.

He had a clean pocket because he got rid of the ball and made his reads quickly.... that was actually refreshing to see.

That is true and there should be. No reason a backup who hasn't started since 2011 should play better than your 108m QB.

Kyle did a great job of filling in and I respect his play under difficult circumstances. I also enjoy the hipocracy of "loving" a top ten QB. Should I hate him? Should I love Brandon Weeden?

Oh the discord of life...

My stance comes from being honest with what I see out there. Just keep it real.

If you are going to keep it real you must admit that we win this game with Romo, you don't even have to say he is a good QB or anything positive just that "we would've won with the worst starting qb in the league" but of course you are not. And i agree with your OP, hats off to Orton.
