When Romo makes it to the NFC championship game and chokes, I won't say a word. But if he's choking before even making the playoffs, he doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as any QB in the playoffs.

Hahaha maybe YOU won't say a word, but every other hater and everyone in the media certainly would. You're naive if you disagree. The rules have been different for Romo for a long time now.

Kaepernick is no where in the same neighborhood as Romo.

Kaep cannot win games on his own. Romo has the ability to do that.

If Romo was healthy and on the 49ers they would be in the Superbowl...three years in a row. Starting with when Alex Smith took them to the NFC Championship.

That is a good team lacking a real QB who can carry some of the load and make good decisions.

It's Kaepernick's 3rd year (2nd year playing), and it wouldn't matter it it was his 10th year. The media's rules are different for Romo. He's the only QB who gets mocked and slammed for days after a late, costly turnover. Show me another QB who gets that kind of treatment.

Well, kap did make it to a Super Bowl already in his 2nd year.... And then back to the NFCCG.

Maybe he has "earned" the right not to be mocked and slammed quite like the other non performing QBs...

Same with Brady today. He missed a few throws in that game. But see, he has proven he can play at the top in his previous years.....

Romo has not proven it.

Football is a team sport, and the 49ers D played a HUGE role in their success over the last few years. I'm sorry if you thought it's all about QB play. Give Kaepernick the Cowboys pathetic D and he'd have been watching the game today like the rest of us.

Show me one other "non-performing QB" who gets mocked and slammed like Tony Romo.

Give Romo that team, and 100% no doubt he does at least that well.

It's almost as if some of you have no appreciation for how valuable a dominant defense and run game are, especially in the post season.
Come on, it's football 101

Unreal, isn't it?

Peyton Manning was a "choker" for years with a bad defense.

Tim Tebow won a playoff game with a great defense.

Mark Sanchez won several playoff games with a great defense.

Trent Dilfer and Brad Johnson won Super Bowls with great defenses.

And that's just in the last 15 years! Yet so many fans and idiots in the media learn NOTHING and still put it all on the QB. In the ULTIMATE TEAM SPORT!

Absolutely unreal.

Okay, you named Peyton Manning. And only Peyton Manning.

Were those who ripped Peyton correct in doing so? Or has it been proven that they were complete morons who knew NOTHING about football?

Yes. You are correct.

But , let's pick a QB that "Couldn't "have won with those tough teams...

I think when you start doing this, it becomes all conjecture.....if this guy played for that team, etc etc....

If Emmit smith didnt have that offensive line, would he be the all time rushing leader??

Maybe the team would respond different to a romo . ??

If he can't handle the heat being the QB of the most scrutinized team in the league, he shouldn't be there..we can't have it both ways...it comes with the territory. So far, he's proved he might not be able to handle it...

Colin Kaepernick turned the ball over 3 times in his last 3 possessions, plus had a costly delay of game on 3rd and 1 which led to the first turnover.

And I haven't heard ANYBODY rip him.

If that was Tony Romo, slamming him would be the lead story in the media for a week.

You completely right, the fans and media would be able to cook marshmellows on him with the roasting he would get; but we should wait till he gets the team this far at least once to worry about it. Sounds like whining otherwise.

I think Romo has handled every bit of scrunity he has rightfully, or wrongfully received, with grace and class.

Better than I would have.

Im saying "romo" isn't special....they go after anybody. And now. With the December slides and lack of good football, it's just snowballed. Over the years.
Let's face it, romo hasn't exactly been "great". In the big games.....??? His team, comes up short....That is a fair assessment.

Scrutiny yes, he doesn't have a choice. Pressure wise, no way..

You said, "If he can't handle the heat being the QB of the most scrutinized team in the league", ... not pressure.

And yes, he does have a choice, .. he chooses to handle it with class. Every time.

I have to agree. They would crucify Romo over that.
