And I agree....but to pay a guy 100 million dollars on a out of this world contract was a mistake. And to think Dallas will be nothing when he leaves is also a mistake...
Romo has made his mistakes too. In very big games....

You are bringing a lot more into this discussion that what I first said. I never mentioned the money he makes, his contract, or what will happen when he leaves.

You sound like you have other issues with Romo. And that's fine, .. just not what I originally brought up.

All I was suggesting was that Romo would be successful with a good defense and a running game, ... meaning he can't do it all.

We honestly don't even look like we belong in the same league as a team like Seattle. We look like a college team compared to them.

I agree. He can't do it all......he can't even get his team to a playoff game!!!!

Why? Do you think its a conspiracy by the media , against romo and romo only???

Ah the ten percenters at their finest. Tony is the lead story virtually every other week on First Take, Around The Horn, PTI and NFL Access and yet somehow you have failed to notice the difference between him while hardly a word on Staftord, Ryan and Rivers etc week to week.

You either don't have cable or dont pay attention and since it's almost incredible you don't see how Romo is scrutinized more - I'm gonna suggest calling Time Warner.

Here is the thing .

Much of football. Like life. Is being at the right time and right place.

Does Tom Brady even play in the NFL? Without that lucky break he got in NE??

A lot had to happen, for Brady to be Brady that was out of his control......but, Brady took advantage of it all.....

It's not fair. Life isn't fair. Romo has had his chance. And now, I think he is done. That window has closed......

Hes actually been to 4, led them to three. I guess it is a team game then but when he fails, it is all about the QB. Love or hate him, there are two things that can't be argued:

1. He is good enough to make a run
2. He has failed on a few occasions

Either way, the Dallas Cowboys did not get it done, not just Tony Romo.

How long have you been watching football?

Have you read anything that I have typed in this thread?

Yeah I get your point. Romo would've won a Super Bowl with a great defense. Im saying so what, lots of QBs could win with great defenses....even Russell Wilson....

He is scrutinized more because he plays for the cowboys and because he can't win. In Dallas that is. He could win somewhere else though.

Poor little tony . The 100 million dollar man.

Like I said, you have other issues with Tony. Do me a favor and don't bring agenda's into conversations with me.

I don't need to listen to your "Poor Little Tony" drivel.

I noticed you didn't answer my question about how long you have been watching football.

Either you haven't been watching long, or you haven't been paying attention and haven't learned much about the game.

Lol. Okay.

No agenda though. Just tired of the excuses for this team, and Romo.

Lesson: Aging elite quarterbacks occasionally defy the odds and win Super Bowls.
Lesson Jerry will take: Any aging quarterback can win the Super Bowl, if you only get on a lucky streak.

Typical Romo haters focusing on "Romo's" lack of success when both Super Bowl representatives make it to the Super Bowl by holding their opponents to 17,16, 15 and 17 points in their playoff games.

I do not feel like posting it again but go look what happens to playoff QBs when their teams allow more than 21 points or more versus 20 points or less.

Our defense only allowed 21 pts his first 2 playoff games. What did he do? Lost them both. And only completed half his passes in that Giants games. How many excuses does this guy need before you realize he just will never get it done?

Show me one that does not.

How about we point to an instance where Romo has came up big in a big game? Because I can't think of any besides the Eagles playoff win.

Otherwise, in pretty much ever instance we have needed a win, he has failed us. Usually in the end.

Last year against the Skins, our defense bailed out our crappy offense the whole first half. Gave the offense the ball back down 3 and plenty of time. And we all know what he did a few plays into that drive.

That's pretty uninformed. That first playoff game, against Seattle, it's tough to really put it on Romo because all he was allowed to do was hand the ball to Julius Jones. Parcells refused to throw the ball, despite the fact that Seattle was starting three backups in the secondary (one of which was a free agent off the street). Parcells played that entire game " not to lose". That loss is on him.

Also if Manning and the Broncos win this SB this year ... you can forget about JJ actually turning over this team and making a winner ... He will say to himself ... We have an elite QB just need to have some offensive power around him. You will see even more drafting of RBs , WRs, and TEs to make it more Romo friendly.
