Herschel Walker, 53, says he could still play in the NFL

I'm still kicking rocks with this running back group, so I say, bring him in!

See if Emmitt and Dorsett think they can still play, too.

I'm sure you could come back, Herschel. This article just screams to me 'Well, I would come back, but...'. At the vet minimum, he'd be able to at least buy a nice house outright for a year's work.

He can't run a 4.3 or a 4.4 anymore unless it's hand-timed by someone with an itchy trigger finger and nearsightedness.

He was Big, fast and a very mediocre football player. I am grateful though that he went to Minnesota and helped the Cowboys win 3 Super Bowls

Ehhhh...a play here and there. Yeah of course he could. Probably any former player who kept themselves in good shape could come in and play 2 or 3 snaps here and there.

Would they contribute anything? Very little, if anything.

Minnesota's wishing he could have played when he was 28

Jim Brown did the same thing...must be way football players go thru mid age crisis

Vikings didn't know how to use him properly. Eagles had. A little better handle on it but by that time he was 30 and over.

He should have attended the veteran combortion. Michael Bush after running a 5.2 forty - "My career is over."

I :lmao2:so hard after hearing that. At least he was honest.

I like Herschel and admire his "can do" attitude. But he wouldn't last a week playing NFL football at age 53. The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.
