Herschel Walker, 53, says he could still play in the NFL

The real fun here would be this: We win the NFC championship, but two of our starting RB's get hurt. Jerry calls Walker up and asks him to come in to play the Super Bowl.

In that instance, what would his stats be?

Don't forget the bobsled man.

LOL.

Yeah man like you were there when I needed you. That was his top surrendipity off all times, man.
I salute you with mein big brains.
I am gong to keep mein eye on you and stuff.:)

Bring him into TC, just for a look as a KR. He has to be better than the 90th person on the roster. Look what they did for Jesse Holley and Irvin's reality football show. But Holley also played some ST's.
They used to keep a 53rd spot for both a K for KO's and a FG K...so why not a return guy, if they can justify it.

He was one of the best college players ever. He was good in the NFL too. He's a complete athlete. BUT, when you go against talented guys half your age, your going to lose that battle most of the time and especially in a team sport like the NFL.........

I would pay to see him. But ihad such high hopes for him as a ballet mans and then an FBI mans and then a manager of a marital arts gym.

I wasn't high on the leotards thing...maybe dirty dancing would have suited him better.

He might still be able to play but he'd probably spend so much time in the trainer's room, he'd be issued his own personal cot with his name on it. -- lol.

Herschel had a Strikeforce fight against a guy named Nagy, a major can whose entire career to that point was a single loss in a promotion called Rage in the Cage. He did win, but there isn't any Nagy-level competition in the NFL.

I think he could do it for a few plays; however, a huge part of playing in the NFL is enduring the entire season. I don't think he could endure more than a couple of snaps per game.

I have no doubt that he is still fast. I think is was Darrell Green that ran an officially tested forty while he was in his forties and it was something like a 4.4 time.

Exactly. He probably could go out there and look respectable for 10-15 plays. The problem is there is no way his body would recover after the game the next day/week.

Walker has kept himself in great shape just as Randy White has stayed in tip top shape but claims of being able to play in the NFL is a bit far fetched.

Well said, I saw Bob Lilly not too long ago on TV and he looked good but he is not going to play in the NFL now either.
