While I do agree that the Skins overspent on Randle El. I don't think his past production is what the Skins are expecting. If you'll remember, Santana Moss was little more than a return guy and occasional deep threat with the Jets.

I, for one thought the Skins got jobbed last year in a straight up trade for Coles.

Turns out, I was entirely wrong.

I think we are all going to be somewhat dissapointed (as Cowboys fans) in Randle El's contributions next year.

Yes, they overpaid, but they did improve. In the long run, it may come back to bite them (even if previous binges really haven't), but they ARE going to be a more difficult opponent than last year.

Luckily, we've improved as well.

Great points. I agree whole heartedly.

Noone's counting on one player to take us to the super bowl. Get real. Our young force (we got those by something called a draft. It's coming up, but I doubt you're interested) prgressing, along with the veterans stepping up, is what's going to get us where we want to be.

I would tend to disagree with that statement as you check many threads around saying, "we are the favorites in the NFC east."

The Commanders are smart. Dan snyder is smart, he turns everything to gold. Not having a lot of draft picks this year isnt going to hurt us in the long run.

It's been hurting you. The team has certainly been "golden" since Danny bought, it, huh? A golden turd, maybe. High priced free agents, continuous roster turnover.....all leading up to? The weakest playoff win of all time. The pinnacle of Skins glory. Hope it was enjoyable.

Any deal involving TO is silly. Moreover, you cut Meshawn to sign TO.

Funny how all the Commander fans said that Keyshawn was so terrible and slow... that he was WAY over the hill and more of a liability now than any kind of asset... then, when we cut him and pick up one of the most talented WR's in football, suddenly losing Keyshawn negates any net gain we might have had from picking up TO.

On the Commanders boards they're calling it a wash. :laugh2:

Funny. Typical. Wishful thinking.

TO will demand double teams... double teams that last year used to hinder Terry Glenn. Terry will be many times more effective running around on a 2nd or 3rd CB instead of having to fight through double teams. Each side of the field will be much better off than when Keyshawn was here. Much.

Since a number of skins fans have been frequenting our forum and asking us questions, here is one for them:

The Cowboys have a little more than $11 million in salary-cap room.
The 2006 cap numbers for the six players signed – guard Kyle Kosier, linebacker Akin Ayodele, tight end Ryan Hannam, guard Andre Gurode, Owens and Fabini – equal $12.4 million.

so in other words:

Kosier+Ayodele+Hannam+Gurode+Owens+Fabini = signing bonus for Randle El

which would you rather have???

:lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::moon::moon::lmao::lmao::lmao:

yeah, I know.... spare me the justifications please

mega props to JJ and BP for keeping their powder dry and their eye on the ball

They still beat us twice last year.... That better change next season.

if they're smart it must be in an alternate universe canse there sure is no evidence of it in this one.

Skins fan checking in. The sigining of TO was good for the Boys. He needed a team, they needed a #1 WR. I think they will draft a WR with thier 1st pick (Holmes probably, or Chad Jackson if available.) TO, Glenn, rookie WR, they will be ok. Not super bowl bound, but ok.

Bringing in Joe Gibbs, re-siging Greg Williams, and getting Al Saunders is a start.

It is funny to watch Little Danny panic and just start throwing wads of money at players. He goes after solid players who will help his team, but he overpays them by $10-15 million in most cases because he has no real negotiation skills.

He just flashes the checkbook and in the end, he helps throw the FA price balance out of whack by hiking up the salaries.

Jerry and Co. know how to negotiate with players and bring them in...he also knows when to spend the big money.

I HATE TO, but we just got the 2nd best receiver in the league at an excellent rate that satisfied both parties. Where as EL got a huge contract that he is not worth and in 3 years, he will be a quiet cap casualty of the skins while they claim that they will never be in cap hell.
2nd best receiver?
