Feel free to go back through my posts & look at his film review against #1 Hawks D....then his game film

Don't make stupid statements you can't back up....

Bust? That's laughable.....

LOL......I knew it was you and I wasnt quite sure. The guy I was arguing with on this last off season. So what happened to your hero after you told me how great he was? The guy has been exactly what I said he is. An injury prone wash out. Grasping at straws is all you are doing. You definitely have egg on your face on this one.

If and when Mr Green is healthy enough to play and plays well, I will give him plenty of credit. Until that time comes he remains a bust. I would like nothing more than to see him become our steady RT for the next 6 years.

But in the regular season, when it counted, he played well when Tyron was out with the back. Injury prone? Yes, think we agree on that. Bust? Maybe if he can't stay healthy which is certainly possible. Can he play if healthy? I think we disagree on that one, I believe he can.

One decent game in 2 years of injury and unavailability does not impress me. Availability and health is everything. He was the same way in college. I would love the kid to work out, but most people were shaking their heads when he was drafted and this is exactly why. And he has had some real stinker games in preseason against low level competition. I will root for him, but I am not counting on him. I dont think the Cowboys are either.

Collins is a Mauler. In my opinion he needs to stay at left guard so he can use his athletic ability to overpower opposing players.

He played either 2 or 3 games while Tryon nursed his back

2 or 3? That sounds like a miracle.

Chaz Green To Undergo Back Surgery, Will Move To Injured Reserve

FRISCO, Texas – After battling a back injury for the past few weeks, Chaz Green is undergoing surgery on the problem.

“We anticipate Chaz having surgery later today and not being available to us going forward,” said Cowboys coach Jason Garrett on Friday.

Green is undergoing surgery on a herniated disc in his back and will be moved to the injured reserve for the remaining three weeks of the season. It’s a tough setback for the second-year offensive tackle, who hasn’t appeared in a game since Oct. 2.

In that win against San Francisco, Green suffered a sprained foot that held him out of action for several weeks. While he was working his way back into practice, he developed the back issue – which has landed him on the injury report for a different reason the past several weeks.

This marks the second-straight season that Green has had marred by injury. After being selected 91st overall in the 2015 NFL Draft, he missed his entire rookie season after undergoing surgery on his hip in the offseason. He practiced at the tail end of the season but never appeared in a game.

“We’re excited about what we’ve seen, but you’re right. Over the last couple of years, he’s been hurt a lot – and availability is important,” Garrett said. “But he’s a very conscientious guy, he’s a very hard-working guy.”

As in, this is his last opportunity I took that.

At this point in the game, I have been dead on about this guy.

Erik Williams was "a Mauler" too, but he did his damage at RT. And he made opponents fear him, even to the point of having Reggie White crying to the refs. Most offenses are right-handed and use that side as their power side. Ours was finesse with Doug Free but a more powerful player in that role could add a new dimension.

Unfortunately, it doesn't sound like they want to make a serious effort to play Collins there.

You mean before he got hurt again? What good is a guy that can only play 3 games in two years after you draft him? And he played decent in a couple of those games. But the point is availability. He is injury prone.

Williams was a more disciplined player with good foot work so he could play RT. So far Collins has shown to be a straight up mauler but can get sloppy. Maybe that will change which I hope it does. The skillset is there for him to excel.
