I didn't get to see the full game but from what I saw - Hitchens might be establishing himself going forward. With so many questions marks at LB this is unexpected and good news for Dallas. His 4th and 1 stand where he lifts the RB off his feet is not an average play. Its type of play that makes you a leader in a hurry. I am scrambling now to figure out how this will look once you add Lee back into mix. Look closely at Hitchens as we start to face these very physical NFC battles coming Dallas way shortly. We might be surprised by a new leader.

Wait. But the moment the pick was made it was the "dumbest move ever" and "they must have never watched tape on him". Him being good CANT be right...

Idk if Carter is resigned. Durant too.

So a lb corps of Lee McClain and Hitchens is pretty solid IMO.

Coudnt be he was a horrible pick and he didn't show Canton potential his first time in action.

Zoners wrote him off after his first few snaps and criticized Jerry for the selection. The typical noise from Cowboy 'fans'.

Id like to see dallas sign durant back at a discount because of Injury and go after orakpo because his value dropped because of his injury resign romc and let carter walk. Hitchens will then be a backup / starter.

Dunno if Orakpo is a fit?

all these people coming out the woodworks with "I told you so's".... amazing...

Hitchens has been playing well, and definitely has outplayed board consensus on his draft position....
once again... everything happens on the field... not in people's heads....

White noise.... those who achieve can't hear it....

Haven't seen a single "I told you so" in this entire thread. Weird.

Maybe not but I think hes a great lb

Hes a 3-4 OLB. He doesn't fit and is already injured. If they think he can be acceptable as a situational rush end then it might work, but he's going to want more money then that.

I think he very well could be. Draft another guy for depth while resigning McClain. Go Hitchens, McClain, and Lee. Durant is a nice player, and if he comes cheap then I can see keeping him.

We do seem to have a surplus of quality linebackers at the moment. Can't play/pay everyone.
