There’s plenty of things in society that “may”, and some that clearly do, add to problems, but I say it’s better to have rules and enforce them on those who violate the rules and have reasonable and maybe some fairly strict rules.

I disagree with your entire premise that alcohol is the biggest cause…. I’d like to see some empirical data to back that and no your anecdotes don’t equal that. I’m sure some might argue extreme fanaticism for a team contributes more.

I could say it’s sad that you attend games and don’t drink beer. But I don’t push my morality and judgements on others.

I could also say I think all sober people act like judgmental *** holes, but that would be unfairly stereotyping them based on a few people’s actions. :)
Look outside there’s an unruly kid on your lawn. Get ‘em

I drink... plenty. I just stop drinking at the tailgate. BUT, I would 100% agree with the premise that most trouble at games involves intoxicated individuals. Fantaicism is what drives it for sure. Add that, maleness, and alcohol and then a loss and wala, you have pissed off drunks that are looking at those in opposing jerseys to start crap with.

Do I have any data? no, because I cant imagine anyone has actually started tracking incidents at games and alcohol use.

But I also agree with you. Just because there are 100 people out of 80k that drink and start trouble doesnt mean we should ban all alcohol sales for those that can have a beer, a good time and not start any trouble.
Yea. I see that as well. For sure it’s the root of some (many) problems.

My hotel is the Marriott Arlington Entertainment District. Weve stayed there for about 4 or so years now. No shuttle needed. The stadium takes 5 minutes to walk there. Faster than a car in that traffic:)
Understood but shuttles drop you off right at main entrance . If it was raining or inclement weather might be more attractive for future reference . Regular shuttle services are provided right of way at stadium.

Really? Wow.

I’m kind to others while I drink. If others aren’t let’s stop them. If it isn’t possible or happening then ok. We can talk about bans. But I’ve been to a lot of games (my own anecdote) and I’ve never seen a problem. And I’ve only heard about a handful where there was serious violence.

What’s your stance on guns? Or maybe we can’t talk about them.

It’s the root of every issue I’ve ever had at a game . We had to have several Fans exited by security over the years . Such a shame .
That’s good. The problem was taken care of. Hope no one was hurt.

I’m sure you are but not everyone is.

We almost always tailgate, so we are already somewhere in the parking lot:)

Weve started making these games a regular occurence since Texas Stadiums' last season. Im pretty much a seasoned pro at this point of knowing best way to save money and the gameday routine. Thanks for the info:)

About to board our flight to come out to Dallas. One of my former softball players is getting married and we are coming out for Saturday wedding. Sunday, her husband to be is a huge Cowboys fan, so we will get in a quick tailgate and then off to the game.

This is first time in a while its just me and the wife. Cant wait to visit my favorite place once again.... and yes, give Jerry some of my money.
Oh good, he needs your money!

and the NFL doesnt mess around much anymore. Thats why they flash the number to text if you are having any problems. Several years ago that Giants (Baseball) fan killed a Dodgers fan and that was finally the serious wakeup call to these leagues that they better protect their fans. If that means booting out the drunks quick, then so be it.

Yea but the point is in a family atmosphere we shouldn’t need to expose our loved ones to these type of situations .
I do see your point. Just not sure a complete ban is the answer. Some more regulators and rules would be a good start.

you havent read this thread... Jerry will actually get none of my money... not that I care about that.
The post I quoted ends with, "and yes, give Jerry some of my money." I personally don't care if you give him money. I buy Cowboys gear, including jerseys. I was just joking.

Up until the late 90’s they weren’t allowed at Texas Stadium, nor was tailgating . And we didn’t have any issues.

When I first begin attending Cowboy games many were dressed in suit and ties after coming from church.

Yes. It seems they’ve taken steps and the message is out that ***holery won’t be tolerated , but I could be wrong
